To be honest I don't really remember what the V1 looked like

But I like this one since it is very easy to navigate around in.

I agree but I also think that reading comments in the v2 is harder...

Many elements of the interface are a bit larger than V1 so it's a little weird to adjust to scrolling more and the large separation from one comment to next. That's how it was for me but I quickly adjusted and love it!

When I designed the new topic interface for v2, I wanted to make each post a little home for the poster where you could flaunt your stuff. Topics still read easy for me, but now there is the added fun of seeing WHO each member really is in the community.

So here is a list of upcoming badges before release:

Social Media Interactor [Manually unlocked badge for being a huge help for AetherCards marketing in some kind of way)
10 Feedback & Support posts
200 Magical Cardistry Bonanza posts
Upfame/downfame 25x in one day
Upfame/downfame 125x in one day
Spend 10 days online
Start 200 topics

The difficulty ranges from extremely easy to very difficult (downfaming illegitimately can easily trigger our automated sensor to reduce your Fame!)

I think many of them are now actually. Alex and Peuan were posting about them ealier. I know I've earned a few, so I'd be guessing they are live.

v2 here as well. One suggestion alex, would it be possible to make each of the various achievement icons about 50% the size they are now? I often look at the forums on my iPhone and all those icons eat up a lot of room (about 50% of the height of the screen if in landscape mode).

Maybe having those smaller and in perhaps 2 rows would get some room back.

Other than that, looks pretty cool!

For me it also seemed like a problem at first but:
1) I quickly got used to it
2) If the badges where 50% the size:
a) We wouldn't be able to see them well
b) It wouldn't make much of a difference.

I'm with xmetal here, the badges take up WAY too much space and are extremely distracting, I don't like them at all. They aren't even necessary in my opinion and only boosts the spam-to-post ratio in some cases for people I won't name.

Not to mention they look gimicky and the bright colors don't suit the forum very well. Everything else looks great, but the badges ruin the whole look for me. Completely.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I used to have 3 or 4 posts fit on my screen at once, but with the new layout, I can only see one without scrolling. It could be a very clean and slick looking forum, but the gimmick features keep it from doing that. $:-\$

Check the top-left corner of your page, you should see a version number there.
