Honestly i can live with it.

The Tiwan part is super funny and harmless to me, it kind of makes it rarer and more valuable if theres a "corrected" version of this deck in the future but i understand some people might feel that a premium deck shouldn't have this kind of mistakes.

We also got a great gaff card in that 6/7 of spades.

Its an amazing deck im keeping it!

Having learned from our first time doing an IG campaign, we changed and added a lot of new stuff to our original project and most importantly we made the jump to KS.

Right now we are over 30% (we waited a week to get here and promote the project since we were part of the original KS Mexico exclusive launch)

We changed the box (which was one of the main complaints last time), added full custom court cards and we will have some extras in the form of a marking system for the magicians and some extra features for magic.

We also made the deck cheaper.

• The decks are going to be printed with EPCC.
  
  We are using EPCCs recent Spot UV process (present on the very recent Superior Skull & Bones) for the new box, its going to be black on black (Replace the white on the image for a glossy black over matte black).
  
  The Enigma Logo and the Eye will be done on silver foil.

Mexico's first deck designed for your cardistry and magic needs.
Designed in collaboration with Anagrama Studio

We decided to go for Indie gogo since we are from México a country that is unfortunately not convered by Kickstarter. (we tried everything to be able to be on kickstarter but it was just not possible for us).

The funding goal will be a FIXED one, we want to be as transparent as possible with all of you

We will be printing with Expert Playing Card Company and we will be going for a limited run of 1000 decks never to be reprinted again.

Enigma Cards is an established playing card company with a passion for cardistry and magic based in Monterrey, México and its currently México’s best and biggest playing card store.

We have been thinking of creating a deck of cards for a couple of years now so we set a challenge to ourselves, how could we reimagine a deck of cards different from what is available right now.

The concept of the deck is based on the meaning of the word enigma.

- enigma: a puzzling or inexplicable occurrence -

We wanted to transfer that definition without making an overly complicated design.

Im really close to launching a crowdfunding campaign for a brand new deck of cards that ill be revealing in a few weeks here in this forum FIRST.

But before that theres a question i have been asking myself for too long and that one is...

Why the hate towards Indie Go go?

I have been researching for a while and the main problem some people have is that indie gogo takes the backers money immediately.

i understand that theres some discomfort over having to pay in advance for something you don't know if its going to be made or not, specially if it doesn't get made.

Im interested in learning if there are any other good reasons why people prefer kickstarter over indie go go.

I know the traffic over each platform is very different too but i believe that good marketing and publicity can make up for the difference in "base users", at the end of the day, your main market are the ones that are going to support you the most.

Anyway if anybody has some insight on this please share it.

It was advertised in December as an exclusive deck, never to be sold by itself and that only small quantities of that deck were made... (this was written on an email) and now theres magically 1300 decks. (im sure they have more but they are not telling us how many).

This was just like what happened with the revolvers... first they tease it for a really long time, then they say its going to be available on X day of December, then they suddenly make a random number of them available weeks before the actual release date, they say only a small quantity a day but in reality you can buy as much of them as you want (some friends and i bough more than the alleged limit number they said they had for each day) and finally we get them on X day of December.

Way to go Ellusionist... way to go.

  Its just out of my comfort zone to spend $500 for 1 deck...

I get that there are plenty of stuff that is worth the money on the store, but its too much.

This might be one of those decks that are only for the filthy rich collectors...

$500 is = to a semi-profesional drone or airplane tickets for some cool holidays...

I think the box is legit.

The ones we saw in the instagram vid say Black Lions

Also i don't think the blue version of the gatorbacks is meant to be the cards of that box in particular, we are watching 2 different decks here.

So in classic Blaine fashion, he said something and then later didnt deliver :/

 

YES!

This is definitely hitting my wallet, after investing heavily in cards this black friday.

Its funny but Black "Blue" / "Red" Lions are going to sound weird, I hope the Metallux "process" really delivers for this decks.

UPDATE

After carefully looking at the vid, I cant confirm this is going to be a metallux deck

David sent an email stating that the discount doesn't apply to the new arrivals...

So it wont apply to the Black Lions :/

Also it wont probably apply to the uncut sheets.
