There is a few things I like about this article - firstly seeing someone else who likes collecting... and secondly the question of how to measure a collection. Do you do it on sheer number of decks? Number of different decks? Themed collections, I.E all the ellusionist, all the casinos from las vegas, etc? This guy has a phenomenal collection, and I love the fact that he had the jump on us getting into it 10 years ago. However try not to compare yourself to him because we don't know the decks he has. Say the average bicycle deck is $7/8 - and you have a thousand, you have spent say $8000. If you bought some really cheap cards - i.e buying a gross of cancelled casino cards for 99c a deck and tactics like that - you could end up spending the same and having what appears to be an extensive collection. However the thing I really like is the honesty the guy displays in his attitude and I think a lot of us will relate to him - he liked poker, for poker you use cards hence he likes cards. Who else here got into collecting through cards (I for one was CARD magic), it's nice to see someone just be honest and carefree with their hobbies - you can see he likes the cards for the cards and not just the idea; he has themed them, and organized them and specifically collected some (the states etc). I think this guy is awesome.
