I am looking to sell a considerable amount of the decks I have accumulated over the last 2 years. I have been out of work and with dwindling funds, I have decided to make the necessary sacrifice.

Below is a list of the Kickstarter-funded decks I am selling.  :(

I am only asking for the amount paid at the end of the campaign (minus shipping costs I incurred) I will, however, be charging shipping for postage from Brisbane, Australia to the purchaser. This will be calculated on the weight of your total purchase as well as what kind of shipping method you choose.

I have grouped all items from each project together so I do not end up with various bits and pieces left over.

Feel free to PM me to purchase, or for postage cost.

Prices are in USD.

Carbon Fiber Playing Cards

Project by Sly Kly
Third created, $35,000 goal, $100/1 deck Early Bird, $120 Standard Price

According to the project creator, these cards will be made from actual carbon fiber, then printed with the card design and punched out.

This is Sly Kly's first playing card project, (his first two were dice manufactured on a CNC machine, unsuccessful, then a successful relaunch).

I would need more information before being able to make a full assessment. From this image:

it is possible to see a white edge to the cards. This, in addition to the perfect orientation of the fibers, gives the impression that the design has been printed onto regular cardstock. Whether these cards are merely a mock up of what the end product will look like, or whether this is an impressive scam, or the cards are real carbon fiber and the white is the edge of the card with residue from being punched out is up for debate. We shall see.

At $70,000, a version accented with red thread will be released

and a blue thread accented version will see a release at $100,000

Playing Card Plethora / Dale Mathis “3D and Mechanical” Deck (KS)
« on: October 02, 2013, 07:45:47 AM »
This got announced on Tuckcase.com today.

"Electromechanical Designer Dale Mathis of Las Vegas is set to launch his very first Kickstarter project on October 12th that breaks new ground in playing card development. The actual cards are just like a standard deck of playing cards. However, what makes this deck so unique is what happens after you are done playing a game of cards. The “3D and Mechanical” piece to this project is in the tuck case and the add-ons the turn this deck into a displayable contraption complete with a special frame. Dale has designed a clockwork like contraption that is complete with movable gears and a mechanical card frame."

The project will be launched on Kickstarter on October 12th.

"The project will have a goal of $35K and will fund for only 30 days. Decks start at $25 without the mechanical frame. The frame tier starts at $155."

The Conversation Parlor / phpBB Problems
« on: September 19, 2013, 07:19:17 AM »
I would post this on Card Complex, but seeing as I can't reply or start new topics, only view existing ones, I thought I'd post this here.

When ever I attempt to post a reply or topic I allows me to where you input all the text and smilies, etc. But the moment I click Submit, it spends about 30 seconds to a minute thinking, then says it lost the connection to the forum. This happens whether I use Firefox (my usual browser), Chrome or IE.

As some of you may know, I had the same problem posting to UC. As it turns out, both forums are run on phpBB.

This is odd as I have no idea what could be causing these connection losses.

Does anyone have any ideas/tips they think might help me?

Introduce Yourself / Novice Cardist/Deck Collector
« on: September 13, 2013, 09:31:34 AM »
Hi all,

My name is Ronyo (well, not really, but anonymity is the main purpose of the Internet).

I recently started collecting playing card decks, currently have 35 plus a Phantom and a Stripper deck.

I am glad to be able to be able to have an opportunity to chat with fellow collectors, as well as cardists who I hope will be willing to teach me a trick or two.

Also, when telling people you're a 'Deck Collector', be sure to emphasise that you are interested in playing cards instead of being employed as a bailiff.  :)
