+1 ronyo_faukx

Received decks from Aus fast and well packaged. Thank you! I've been after a set of sherlocks and triplicates for ages and these were an excellent price.

Received my triplicates and sherlock decks. Thank you!

I spoke to Jody recently about Innovation and also about his other projects that he has worked on. I really liked golden spike because of the history and research that went into the deck, and it seems that Innovation is no exception. If you're interested in Jody's work take some time to see what he had to say when we spoke.

Funded in 4 hours. That'd a bit of an improvement on last time!

I feel you should only buy decks that you find attractive to you. Lots of decks are 'rare' more than you are likely to ever want to buy. So whilst it is nice to own something that is more limited, it means nothing if you don't like it yourself.

Wow, this is going to cause my first public rant on PCF! Here goes... >:(

I made the mistake of joining black club this year, mainly for the decks but the downloads were cool too.

The membership is $150 and you get a free gift (a artifice black and some bracelet thing), they shipped the free gift and labelled it with a value of $150 which I had to pay customs on the full amount of. That in itself is ridiculous because the $150 was supposedly for the membership.

Now they've released their first deck since I joined (more on that in a moment) I almost guarantee that I'll be paying more customs duty if I choose to take it for 'free' as per the black club member deal. So after paying $150 to get all the decks for free I have paid a massive import duty on a black artifice deck and will end up paying effectively double on any of the 'free' decks I get. They will probably cost more in this way that if I just bought them outright.

To top that off, the first deck released since I joined is this? What the hell is this thing? The chainlink fence deck? Barrels have been scraped.

I'm just going to order up the additional 2 black artifices that I can buy as a BC member and stick them on ebay to try and minimise some of the damage. Lesson learnt!

Update: From what I gather this one isn't included in the 'free' decks for BC members anyway. It's a limited release (of 5000)

Pretty big shopping spree! There's some nice ones in here.

Are you looking for sealed decks or are open ok? You might struggle to find a sealed blue blood for $40

I didn't pay a huge amount, about £20, they don't seem to raise a massive capital they're just hard to find.

This is the only one I can see around at the moment

There's a week left on this project now and it's way over it' funding goal. Not sure if they'll manage to unlock the 2nd deck though.

I caught up with Michael and Perle to find about a bit more about who they are and what brought about this project. You can read the discussion here:

Hi Guys, I have put up a page for SiShou on magasaki.com so if you're on the fence about getting a deck please come over have a look at the great artwork by Alvin. I've added a ratings system to the site so you can vote for which decks you like too, it should appear on the page next to the deck name.

Thanks

JP are great they pretty much always use boxes. Never had a damaged deck from them and have bought a lot from there.

Hey Dan, where in the UK were you from? There's a few of us here!

I'm jealous of the sunshine you're getting!

71
This deck has some awesome artwork. I was going to back the book as well so I could get a print but only if they unlock different options on the prints.

72
Honestly i'm not hugely fussed about the courts, tuck and card back but the idea with the pips is fantastic so for that reason i'll be backing these. Great to see designers mix it up and bring some of their personal experience to projects. All the best with the campaign!

I'm not sure that having your friends as the courts will excite all that many backers? I'm also not all that convinced about the strength of the link between architecture, the compass and the vitruvian man? This one isn't for me I don't think but all the best with the campaign.
