While surfing through an ocean of listings on Ebay, I happened to stumble on a very peculiar and strange auction. It's for a green deck of Jerry Nuggets!
At first, I was like :o
And then, I was like  :-\

I've never seen anything like this on the market, and the last time I ever felt this way was for the Red/Blue/Purple Wynns.

What do you guys think about this auction. The price point and pictures makes it SEEM legit. I mean, the buyer states that there are only 30 made. The deck also was not produced with a seal, so that seems suspicious.

The buyer is also the_great_lazarus - Is he a user of these forums?

What do you guys think?

Can someone also confirm the authenticity of these Black Jerry's. Were they made in the same manner as the authentic ones, or just a cheap reprint?

Thank You!

I believe I remember someone talking about someone releasing decks with the jerry nuggets design in different colors, so I think they are re-prints. Honestly we should just wait for Don to post. He seems to have all the info when it comes to cards. lol
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

The green, black, orange Jerry's are made in China.
They are fake, crap quality- I have fake red&blue cause I can't afford the real one.
It's nice to have them for a price below 5$.
They are not worth 100$.

Yes, I can confirm what Phantom said. I am almost willing to bet these are the crappy reprints. If you search, you can probably find them for about 25$ a set of all 4 reprint colors. At least that's from what I've seen and heard. I feel bad for whoever bought a set at 100$... Yes, The Great Lazarus is on these forums, and if his buyer realizes they aren't the real deal, he's going to be mad!

The Green Jerry's were issued by the Art Fighters Playing Card Company. They had some interesting ideas in deck production and selling that brought out much disdain from the Discourse crowd. I'm sure you can search for the threads and find them.

You can go buy the 4th (of five) Miracle decks that they are selling for $3000. You had better snap it up quick because deck #5 will cost you $5000 and that's all they are ever going to sell. However, if you wear your deck out you get to send it back for a replacement deck  100-times in 25-years. You just need to stop using them when you hit the limit of replacements or years.

The black ones are simply crappy reprints as the other posters have said. The green deck on the other hand was a reprint by the Art Fighters Playing Card Company. They were printed somewhere in Europe and only 30 decks were made to the public. For more detailed info i suggest you contact them. http://afpcc.itsesproductions.com/contact/index.html

While i cannot vouch that they are china made products, there was a company that reprinted the green JN that was out of china. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd3FpOPoREs

They were also being discussed on UC here http://unitedcardists.net/uc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5790

It can be very, very tough to know which ones these are. There are high quality reprints in various colors going around. These reprints handle great, and although they're nothing like the original Jerry's, they are far from bad. They're also quite rare, and sell for about $10-20 a deck last I checked, which was several months ago.

There are also the one-play paper pieces of crap that look identical and sell for around the same amount that are made in China.

None of the reprints have ever been worth $100 and never will be. Buy a used Jerry's for that price and enjoy.

Indeed, the seller, The_Great_Lazarus is a member of these forums and is running a KS project. He seems like a decent guy so consider contacting him about the deck.

I'm flattered to hear you say that!

These are not original Jerry's Nugget decks, that's for certain.  The originals were only in red and blue.  The green deck may have been made by Art Fighters, but factor in that Art Fighters only made 30 decks and that a separate (and likely much larger) batch were made in China, and the odds are far better that these are forgeries of the Art Fighters deck (which was ALSO a forgery).  AFPCC explained on their site that they were sold as a "tribute" to the originals, but it doesn't change the fact that they had no authorization from either USPC or the casino to make it.  There are exceptions to US copyright laws regarding satires, but not tributes.  The black deck is just an out-and-out forgery, period, not someone's idea of an art project or a tribute.  Some forgeries handle well, I'm told, while others are better off used as compost - and I'm thinking there's more of the latter than the former.  No matter how you slice it, neither deck is worth what this seller is charging.

Other than that, everyone else here has pretty well summed up the rest.  This is a serious case of "buyer beware" and technically shouldn't even be on sale at eBay as it violates their policies on copyrights and trademarks.  Worse still, he doesn't even make a statement that they're not the real deal - not that this would exempt him from the rules of eBay, but it would at least give buyers a heads-up.  He also displays more than one deck in each photo in their respective auctions, but it's only when you read the description that you realize the item for sale is only a single deck.  $75 for a black or $100 for a green is insane.

I'm pretty vocal about not spending more than $25-50 on ANY deck, especially Jerry's.  I am tempted to join CARC, but since I don't perform magic tricks* I'm not sure if it is worth it to me.  I would like to see what the database has in it though.

Although, if anyone can point me to a person selling the good quality rip-offs (red/blue around $10 each), I'd be grateful.

Both they Green ones and the Black ones are reprints/replicas and are not printed by the USPCC.
They're a waste of money.
