i agree with everything don says :) i also found boxes that are made of stiffer cardboard (fourniers?) made pretty bad gimmicks. the standards and split spades will do fine though :)

yeah, the effect is WAY overpriced, and similar effects can be accomplished purely with sleight of hand. the jumpINK trick also looks cool, but theres just so much similar stuff out there on the market.

Design & Development / Alternate for black cards?
« on: July 03, 2012, 06:55:55 PM »
so ink saturation is a big factor in how quickly a deck wears out. that being said, black cards seem to be quite popular and more people seem to be designing them. So do you think a black stock would be economic for the USPCC to use? like have an actual black sheet that isnt ink. like the monarch boxes. (think construction paper or something along those lines) just a thought :)

that sounds like it would be fun, cant wait till its up :D

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Value of Virginia Slims?
« on: June 03, 2012, 08:24:06 PM »
i managed to snag a few relatively cheap last year for about 8$ each for 2 decks and i had a set given to me as a gift, so i was a bit confused :p there weren't that many ebay listings either, especially for sealed ones so it's hard to get a good grasp on a decent value. thanks though!

10
its not supposed to be a pretty deck :p its just shedding some light on situations and events that have happened violating human rights.

Playing Card Plethora / Value of Virginia Slims?

I own a couple of still sealed virginia slims decks. i was wondering how much they are worth and what a decent price would be to set for them, since im thinking of selling them soon. Thanks!

very noble endeavor :D I'm not as smart as most of the people on here haha but i really like what you are doing and i think you'll succeed :)

hey guys :) so i was chilling on another forum when i found these:

http://www.indiegogo.com/safetyplayingcards?c=home

now, i absofrickinlutely LOVE this deck. I mean, apart from maybe the charity water cards t11 introduced, there havent been many cards released for a definite CAUSE. sure, they may not be ideal for magic or cardistry but it's just such a unique, almost controversial idea. I really hope these get funded and i hope you guys like them as much as i do :D

usually i dont care about "limited release" cards like the red artifice and such but the white monarchs look so darn pretty i just want one to look at all day :p ill also be in school at 11 so ill either have to wait for another window or just wait for when they're given as free gifts or something during the holidays :D

« on: March 12, 2012, 07:39:54 PM »
i found a great site called newtsgames.com, they not only had the DB decks very cheap, but a lot of other decent ones as well. their selection is definitely not the most vast, but i did find quite a few nice things there (raiders, tragic royalty)

Playing Card Plethora / David Blaine Marked Deck
« on: March 08, 2012, 05:40:18 PM »
i have one david blaine 'mindreading' deck which has lasted me AGES, the handling and durability was absolutely divine, as was the marking system. However, most major retailers that had them before (Penguin, D&D) discontinued them and its getting harder to find these at a decent price, does anyone know why, and where i can buy these cheaper/ in bulk?
