Hello all! I have a few auctions going on eBay that are ending within the next day or so, and they are listed below. I have quite a large number of decks to sell after these listings (listing them a few at a time since the shipping process would be overwhelming if I did them all at once), so I'll be updating this thread as soon as I list those.

Maybe my comment was a bit harsh, but I stand by my opinion that this deck is severely overpriced. If it cost half as much, I would consider getting one because I agree that there is an elegance to the tuck box, but 19 bucks is ridiculous. Even 29 bucks for 2 is overpriced by a good deal. As someone already pointed out, if Jackson charged 11 bucks for the art on the fed 52s, it's baffling that this guy thinks he can charge nearly double.

But hey, it's successful so who really cares what I have to say. Money talks

This honestly baffles me, not so much that the deck was created but that there is so much support for a deck that literally anyone could have made. 827 backers for a 19 dollar deck with the least amount of effort put into it that I think I've ever seen? Just wow

Like most recent T11 decks, the tuck is awesome, the backs look good and the faces leave something to be desired.

Went with the early bird elite 8. Already have quite a few of the original decks so didn't feel at all compelled to go for a rare brick, and I don't really care much for brick boxes. Happy with my backing and can't wait for these.

Also the project is 10% funded in under 5 minutes, which is simply incredible

The decks look awesome. 8 decks at once is a little bit much though

I have a feeling that the poorly structured reward tiers will end up making this deck fail to meet the goal. Other than the early bird, there aren't really any levels that seem all that great

If I was guaranteed to get a game of death deck for the chinatown then I would likely get one, but we know how these "randomly selected decks" usually work...Still not a bad deal either way but 150 is quite a bit of money

I agree with the "like it but don't love it" sentiment. Still in for an early bird though.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Most Expensive Deck Opened
« on: January 27, 2014, 12:33:35 PM »
I used to open most of the decks that I got, and still do to an extent. My unopened collection of decks is much bigger than it has ever been before though. Value-wise, I have opened decks of Sultan Treasury, Tendril, S&M v4s and Split Spade Lions, all of which I've seen go for 30-40 bucks on ebay. I only paid 10, 12, 13 and 20 dollars for those decks respectively, and if I bought them at what they're going for now I might've been more hesitant to open them. The most expensive decks I own (and their value fluctuates based on auctions I've seen) are Gold Arcanes, White Monarchs, Bicycle Actuators and Brown Wynns, but I have not yet opened them.

who do i gotta kill to get these???

side note: I'm actually not a huge fan of the way EPCC decks handle. They're certainly not bad, but in general I think USPCC decks handle better (comparing custom USPCC decks to the Legends and Exquisites). Maybe I'm just more used to them, who knows. Either way I'm a huge fan of everything Encarded puts out so I can't wait for these.

Funny thing somewhat relevant to this topic, this article just popped up on my facebook feed:

http://www.artbusiness.com/artists-how-to-price-your-art-for-sale.html#.UtYvCh3JvU4.facebook

It's hard for me to take that as objective information when it's from an article written by an art appraiser on his own website...

well it's not exactly groundbreaking economic theory. mostly just echoes what's already been said in this thread

Looks like Harris will be lowering the prices. From the latest backer's update:

AUD13 Single Deck EARLY BIRD (Limited to 100)
AUD15 Single Deck
AUD26 A pair of Deck EARLY BIRD (Limited to 100)
AUD175 A brick of decks

Thanks for listening Harris. :D

Excellent. I do like this deck and for those prices I'll probably pledge for an early bird 2 deck set. Setting them at 18 bucks initially (20 aud is about 18 usd) to around 11 bucks a deck is a much better deal.

First thing I thought when seeing this deck is that it's trying to capitalize on the success of the Fed 52s. That said, I do like the design and very well might end up pledging for one or two.

Against my better judgment, I just pledged for the sticker. Few reasons I decided to go for it:

1) I like the deck design, and also think the black design could be cool
2) The KS will probably reach the final stretch goal from what I can tell, so if the message is true then that's 6 decks for pledging at that level
3) The author seems trustworthy to me, and I like to consider myself a skeptical person

I usually don't pledge kickstarter projects, partly because I don't really follow them, but this deck intrigues me. Very well may regret this later, but here's to good faith.
