vintage racer back, they were like $17 for christ sake. best handling cards ever, imo.

If you think SEVENTEEN DOLLARS A PACK is CHEAP, I'd like a few minutes with your ATM card, if you don't mind...  :))  I'll grant you it's probably cheap for a vintage deck (unless you were referring to the Vintage Design series), but it's not exactly cheap in the grand scheme of things...

Sorry,Don I meant $17 a brick.  :)

this is, to me, is the most practical artifice in the series. I always love the back design, hated the white border ones, I guess this is the one for everyday use. But creativity and collection wise, yup, 0 interest value.

Maybe next time :(. For anyone else in the surrounding area it is really rare opportunity.

So the daily deception is hosting a special one day convention with Woody Aragon and Dani Daortiz. There will not only be lectures by Woody and Dani, talk on Spanish school of magic and even a show at night, so if you are in NYC or surrounding area defiantly check it out.(talking to you Don)Thanks.

I think I just got a mirror deck from a bad batch, the edges are horrible. But I really dont like the carbon v7. it's a soft deck but the snap just feels weird. I guess i was expecting the quality matches up to the old SMs and Magic-Con deck, but i guess reprints are just reprints.

Really don? I opened the mirror deck and they handle like, excuse my language, shit. I really break in the deck and the handling didn't get any better. A huge disappointment for me since i am a big fan of Si Scott's artwork. I guess now I'll open my smoke deck.
I can't say with certainty that they'll become very valuable - who can, really?  But what I can say is that this deck is a modified reprinting of the S&M v3 Smoke, that it was part of the S&M v7 boxed set (both of which you already know) and that the design was very disappointing to people who had already seen the previous S&M decks because they switched from their distinctive stylized faces to USPC standard.  Additionally, the handling is pretty darn good - most custom USPC decks are since Magic Finish became the default for custom decks last year.

I got a box of these the same way you did.  I opened them, and I use them.  I wouldn't count on the value increasing greatly, but they sure do work very nicely.  As a beginning flourisher, I think you'd be pleased with the performance.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Blue LTD from Ellusionist [NEW]
« on: February 12, 2013, 05:10:41 PM »
Well i recieved my decks today... And i ended up having a surprise...

All the new blue ltds have a seal that says ltd (duh :p) and inside it seems that every deck has 1 extra Queen of hearts from a red ltd deck.

Im not 100% sure yet since i havent opened any other ltd but maybe somebody can confirm this?

Because i was thinking that since ellusionist said that no more red ltds were going to be made, then the only explanation for the red extra red queens is that they reprinted it.

The other plausible option would be to open the same amount of red ltds just to put 1 red queen in each blue ltd....which sounds stupid....

they just decide to include the red ltd QOH as a gaff in blue ltd, the same things as seasons platinum edition, its that simple.

I think Zack has been hyping this deck for a few month now, this is probably a self-funding project, designed and printed by himself, I doubt T11 is backing this.

I dont think Don is flip-flopping. This deck is a game changer for designer because they have a alternative manufacture. However USPCC would not care much since its primary business is Bicycle/Bee line and all those casino deals.

If I remember correctly, the white arrcos required a faro to get into the stack. But the WL series B and Silver SS only requires a cut after you remove the jokers and the ad cards
