This is my design idea for the design contest.

I was inspired to create this deck after viewing my Grandparents old Mother of Pearl piano accordion.
I wanted to create a deck that was usable for both cardistry and magic purposes. I drew inspiration from decks such as Virtuoso and Smoke and Mirrors.
Each pip on every card features the pearl design in either red or black according to the suit. I wanted the courts to be custom but also standard enough to be used for magic, so I simplified them and them added the Pearl design in different colours.

Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!

I like the overall concept.

Using just a "J" for the joker index can be a little confusing to some.  Consider one of the many generic indices used over the years - a star, a dot, etc. - or make a new one.  "J" is already spoken for!

Placing a red field on the Ace of Spades can also confuse people.  A magician's deck should have minimal chances, not radical ones like that.

Speaking of which - custom court faces?  My view, for what it's worth, is that if you're going to make custom faces, make the entire court unique.  Go standard or go custom; don't get stuck in-between.

The reveal joker is nice, cleverly hidden without being utterly impossible for a spectator to spot.

It's a shame that he never posted this to the contest topic - it might have been a contender.

Classic MrMollusk. Made me laugh. +1   :)
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Either I'm getting psychic in my old age or you're getting too predictable!  I just KNEW that was going to be on the clip...

I think this deck is now associated with Cardlauncher.
I like to call paper coatings a finish. It makes Don happy.
