Playing Card Plethora / Re: LPCC Gag Order - Now Live on KS
« on: January 10, 2015, 08:03:16 AM »

Does anyone know why there would be spaces in the un-cut sheet of LPCC, does "56 cards at additional cost" mean no Jokers?

The presses used by Expert and Legends are 54 cards to a sheet.  If you look closer, you'll see there's only 52 cards showing for the new deck - he may be replacing the jokers (unlikely) or considering what he wants them to be like (or just keeping it a secret to be revealed later in the campaign).  Either way, it's their standard uncut - sort of, because the real deal is unlikely to have all those extra words and wasted paper.  The cards are laid out in the pattern in which they'll appear in the real uncut.
Yeah, I thought EPCC have 54 cards. I was just curious about where the Jokers were, you are probably right about the reveal later in the campaign, I just loved the way the previous Jokers looked (the diptych) and hope Dave does another for this deck.
Thanks for your reply Don!

Huge fan I LOVE this, even though it is a MPC deck I have backed it. This is an architecture deck. The only thing I find frustrating is that I like the monochromatic "Gray" deck better than the (ironically named) "Chromatic" deck, and the stretch goal for EPCC printing is for the "Chromatic" deck first.

You might have better luck with this one, especially as it looks like cyberpunk might be experiencing a little bit of a comeback.
I actually like the "WIRETAP Playing Cards [Backtrace]" deck better than this one, still like this originality of this deck. Kind of coll artwork too. LOVE the joker design on this deck.

I hope there would be Jokers in this current deck too.

I played this growing up, I remember the deck being a lot more colourful, I don't see a "Scopa" deck that lives up to my memories. I am not sure how I feel about the "minimalist" black and white yet.

Lonnie the creator of "Counting the Cards" is planning a re-launch and is seeking advice and feedback.

"I am willing to change almost anything. I am looking for a name and theme. The black stone setting will probably be removed. Not sure what I should replace it with. I was thinking of a black knight in armour on a horse. I could use ideas."

Really beautiful artwork, though the Diamond pip being the shape of a Heart is so wrong.

Is "Ancient Machines" another word for weird steampunk?

I don't get it, I would like to able to say he earned this but after reading this comment "I designed one night in photoshop for fun." I can't say that is true. I am guessing the Orange and Red decks are selling for that much because of rarity. The Blue decks cannot be called rare. It does seem like this COPY PASTE RINSE REPEAT works for him though.

Orange?  That's a new one on me!  Does his creativity know no bounds?  :))

Oh wait, that is just the red ones on his ebay image, sorry.

As far as standard decks go this is good, love the pip arrangement and the pattern on the pips is cool. The box hurts my eyes a bit. Could have been a bit more subtle.
2 years work though...really? I am having a hard time believeing that. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either, it's nice enough.
I just read Dons comment, yes, I agree it does not look like 2years work.

I read the title and thought it might be interesting, alas more skulls. Would like to see more. Agree with Don the SS thing is not very cool.

Wait, what exactly does "US $200.00 or  $34 for 6 months†" mean?

Wow, I really liked these when I saw them, I was shocked it didn't get funded. Awesome design!
Yay for relaunches!
Wow, weird, I was having trouble finding it on KS without the link from eNate, this is under the " Product Design " category. Not sure why.

I like the Art, the Clubs pip is a bit weird and I think it would benefit from having cohesive backgrounds. But overall kind of cool.
More pics.

This deck is really cool, I especially love the "Shell" deck. The creator De is an especially awesome person too, who has great passion for playing cards! Highly recommend!

Why do I always miss these...

The back just looks very flat to me. I get that it's supposed to be copper, but it just looks like a dull brown to me.
My thoughts exactly. I think an orange colour would have been a better choice...maybe...

As someone who LOVES Escher's work I really dig the back of these cards. These are so good that I don't even mind the traditional faces so much. It could have only been better by being completely customised.
Still really awesome looking deck.

You REALLY go for the all-custom jobs, don't you?  :))

Yes, yes I do. I was still happy to make an exception for this deck.
