The Conversation Parlor / Re: What else do you collect?

I'm starting to collect rocks and minerals, but it is way too expensive to start buying them online. I'm relying on finding them in my field work.

I got 30 inches of snow, lost power for over 3 days. And it just snowed again this weekend. The winter sucks...

Move to the west coast, where the sun always shines and where we have no idea what natural disasters are. Except California, but we don't talk about California.

Sounds like a good idea. Getting really sick of the cold and snow. At least it rained today instead of snow.

Lately, because of the cold weather, I've been wearing mostly flannel and jeans. Flannels are amazingly warm and comfortable.

I'll try to stay active this time, but its hard when you know nothing about playing cards. I guess I'll have to educate myself or go about bringing some variety to this forum.

Reddit takes up like all of my online time. Mostly I lurk, but I do post a bit in r/geology , r/hockey , and r/fitness. I need to post more and lurk less though, I hardly type at all nowadays.

*looks at your post count*

Yep sounds about right

Hey bud :P

Post count is low here because I know nothing about playing cards. And I'm way too lazy to start other topics.

And hey  :D

It's cool, just glad to see you're alive.

Sorry to get off topic, but you will forever remind me of G101, which will forever remind me of Jay, which will forever make me wonder wtf happened to that dude.

I mean, come on. Nobody falls off the face of the earth like that.

You have me on facebook, so you can always check haha.

And yeah, Jay just vanished into thin air. I've tried to find him a few times, but dude was a ghost. None of his emails, IM names, anything goes to him anymore. I only know that his name is Jay and he lived in Virginia Beach, and is probably around 28-29 right now. I don't think we'll ever see him again.

Hmm... I don't think Steam works for Mac and they'll probably prioritize PSN and XBLA over Apple stuff.  You could always try Wine or similar; it would be well worth doing, even if you don't like games.  I'm really looking forward to the documentary as well.  I'm studying Games Design and Development at Uni right now so seeing the process in this form is going to be really interesting.

Steam works for mac, but there aren't many games on it compared to the PC (mostly just all the valve games and a few indie games).

Congrats Alex! Your channel has made me really interested in playing cards (no previous knowledge before I joined these forums). Keep up the good work!

The Conversation Parlor / Re: Favorite Sports Teams(s)
« on: February 03, 2012, 12:00:27 AM »
I'm a fan of all Boston sports teams (Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics). For EPL I support Everton and for La Liga I like Barcelona.

Why Everton? At least you're not a Man U or Arsenal fan! So many people are fans of them because they don't really know the EPL.

Mostly because of Tim Howard, but I wanted to choose a team that wasn't already insanely full of bandwagoners. It would make sense to back Liverpool since Tom Henry of the Red Sox owns them, but I think the purchase was stupid and don't really like the team.

Yeah I play minecraft, but not multiplayer. Used to have a server with a few friends but we all kinda lost interest. I play it every once and a while, still pretty fun.

Makes sense - can't wait to play with you again. What are you studying now?

Still in my earth science major. Right now I'm taking chemistry, hydrology, geomorphology, and an art class (stupid core requirements). 3 labs, each 4 hours long... ouch. But I'm only a year away from graduation!

Good to see you around, Chris! Boy, I miss the days of G101 & TPK. Did you get the email from F5 Design the other day?

No i didn't, i forget which email I used for them.

Yeah I miss them too.

I'm thinking about picking it up around Thanksgiving, but right now I'm far to swamped with my course load to focus on a game like that. But it will be nice to play a shooter for the first time in a while.
