Okay,  guys.  I'm confused. Are version #s (like v1, v2, etc.)  not the same as the color variations? I thought that's what v1, v2, etc meant,  but it seems like there's v1 1-6, then v2 1-6, and so on...?

There is an original v1-6 v7 was an entire box set a remake of v3-6 plus the new carbon deck.

But all the gambling and drinking references are ok...

(I personally have no problems with just about anything anyone wants to so with their own body; I'm just playing devils advocate here).

Thanks for the heads up.

This is probably not the best way to handle the Gold Seal Coterie Bee deck, but we had to give up this series with USPCC, in fact, we will probably never do branded deck with USPCC again.

Hmm, bad experience?

Paul, are u considering searching out the manufacturer that did the legends decks for your next project?

I have to have them.

I wonder if USPCC will print these?

There's a fair to middling chance that, with his connections to CARC/Bill Kalush and his artist Mark Stutzman, he might go with the same factory that was used for the Legends and Exquisites.  It's not a certainty, but it's definitely possible.

Similar to the Rounders, the only court on the Split Spades Silver Edition is the Jack of Diamonds. My White Labels are all in a box at home so I can't check them but I think 11/12 would be considered most. And yes, everything else is standard other than the court faces but I very much prefer that because if you weren't paying attention (an very inexperienced), you wouldn't even notice they were any different from standard USPCC courts.

The Rounders actually do have a slightly altered JoD.  The name of Daniel Madison's young child is hidden in the clothing near the face.  He uses the traditional Jack face to represent the child since there's no way to predict future appearance.

Wow, I had no idea about the rounders. That's a great little piece of info. Thanks, don!

Benny: Seriously, this is not as big of a deal as some people make it out to be. It wasn't a personal email, and you didn't post any links (not that there were any anyway). I'm pretty sure The Virts won't mind extra publicity for their next deck.

Some people just take things too seriously.

Plus another. Don't let some jackass white knights of the internet get to you. This is a playing card forum and you posted relevant information; that's all.

Ba I'm so mad that you "leaked" info that in no way the virts wanted people knowing! They wanted their deck to be completely unknown!

Yeah. The virts I NO WAY thought this would get out. Lol. I'm about to post the pics they sente just to piss of idiots.

I heard some time ago that Theory 11 was also working on a wallet concept...  Interesting but not practical because it won't protect your cards at all.

I rarely protect cards in my pocket anymore - but that has a lot to do with the fact that I usually carry cheap, easily-replaced cards such as Bicycle Standard, Bee or Tally Ho.  However, the thought of using it as something to which to attach my wallet is a little ridiculous.  Especially when you consider how much STUFF I carry in my wallet!  Actually, that's "in my two wallets", now that I think of it - I carry an aluminum hard shell wallet for holding RFID-equipped bank cards and business cards.  The business cards don't get crushed and the bank cards are shielded from being skimmed.

I'm telling you, the guy that dreamed up attaching a radio chip to a bank card should be drawn and quartered.  As if it wasn't easy enough to steal someone's identity and commit fraud...

Off topic: that's why I have to aluminum plates in my one wallet to block the cards I need protected.

Umm I kinda like the wallet thing. Am I the only one? Also if they make these new fultons in ivory I'd get a few.

EDIT: scratch that just saw the 150 price tag on that.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Card clips
« on: December 05, 2013, 11:46:31 AM »
I have one of the d&d clasic clips and they do the job just fine. One thing to remember is that they are only made for 52 cards and you will have to "break it in". It will be extremely tight at first so DO NOT out a nice tuck in it. Put a crapy deck in and leave it for a while. You might have to destroy the tuck getting it out.

Off topic: i never understood why people thought the legends handled poorly. It was obvious to me that they would need double if not triple the break in time of a uspcc deck.

Must have. My favorite desk by far. Do we know what time these are being released?

Black decks are boring. As much as I like the jaqks I'll pass if it's just a black back.

Don, there's no hope. This guy just wants to be mad about something even though Paul was very transparent through the entire process.

I was very pleased with my first edition decks! They are beautiful and live up to the high standards that I expect from Paul's work! I can't wait to add the second printing to my collection as well!

First edition? You mean the original print with a whopping $60 premium Paul charges for the most minuscule difference on the tuck box? Sorry if i'm ranting a bit.. i love Paul's decks as much as the next guy. But charging such a high premium for something so insignificant, especially if it wasnt intended in the first place, is a blatantly obvious money grab. I find this way worse than the multitude of lazy recoloured decks the bigger companies never fail to release. At least they price them consistently.

Justify the price tag however you like. You can say that "Oh but prices are subjective! Why don't you think of it as having the honour to own something so limited for ONLY $60!!!11 Silly Phegget hueheuheue !!111@1", but the facts remain obvious. I for one am looking forward to my '2nd printing', 'inferior' Deco set. To all you guys who purchased the superior, super limited, special '1st edition', congratulations. If it makes you happy, then by all means. That's all that matters in the end. However, no matter how often Paul chimes in on forums, how nice he has seemed, this is still a very obvious money grab. Don't avoid the elephant in the room, guys. I'm sure Paul will do great with sales and he won't let us down in terms of designs in future projects, but, i think it's quite safe to say that my respect for him has dropped tremendously.

Somebody's for no reason lol I have the normal edition btw.

USPCC did a pretty good job on the print (not 100%, but close) and those details were intended to be very subtle. I wanted them to appear solid and simple from viewing distance but take some scrutiny to really see the intricacy and detail. I think they did a pretty good job bringing that to life.

It's definitely just a personal thing with me than. I felt that aurum did that because from across a table you couldn't see the fine line work, but from say the distance fr the eyes to a table riffle they were slightly visible.

Also love the blue you used!!! Very Miami, very fitting.

Hmm my first impression on these was a little lack luster. The details on the backs seemed washed out to me. The design on the backs for some reason don't pop to my eye.

The deck handles well. The stock is nice and stiff. I may need more time with the deck. I do enjoy the simplicity but beauty of the deck. Very well designed I just feel like Paul's designs are ahead of the uspcc's capabilities to print.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Fulton's Clip Joint Playing Cards

How can't u compare them? Custom pips and a single custom pip. Fultons, although a fine deck, did nothing new.

(This is coming from a person that very much likes the design of the clip joints).
