Title: Group-made project - recruiting newcomers?
Post by: NathanCanadas on August 08, 2012, 02:38:58 PM
So, since many new members have joined in the past few months, I feel like I should explain this. A couple months ago, many members decided to get together and design a deck of cards all together, and if it turned out to be nice, to perhaps try to get it funded and printed. However, many of us temporarily set it aside. However, I think it's time to bring it back. Here is a sheet with all of the artwork done before hand, and the names of people who were supposed to take care of each set of cards. If we could recontact old members and get new ones on this project as well, it would be great. Here is some artwork:

Hey Nathan!

I remember a little bit about that deck.

Say, can you book me a card?

Thanks!

Sure. We used to function by designing all the suits for one number (i.e. all the nines), but you can just pick the card or cards you would like to design that don't already have artwork on them. (Ignore the names.)

Okay, I can see if I can find something online for one or two places.

Austin, is that yours? If so, it's pretty cool! Now I'd be nice to get back in contact with other members like Derek etc. And glad to have you join us, loldudex!

I like the first one better. But that's just me. The only problem so far is that we had planned on having the same numbers and indexes in the corners for every card. But that wouldn't be a big deal to change.

Something, or someone?  The idea of the deck was ORIGINAL artwork by Discourse members, not something copied off of someone else's webpage, either in whole or in part...
