« on: February 19, 2013, 05:52:30 PM »
Yup. All 4 Kings will be a variation of Cthulhu, custom courts, custom aces, a "big" and "little" joker, and custom Cthulhu themed pips.
$12/deck ($10/additional)
limited edition sepia tone decks (signed, numbered, KS exclusive): $25 ($20/additional)
Fluff: bookmarks, lapel pins, t-shirts, and hoodies!

EDIT: they do have some pretty funky looking T-shirts!

The great $25 deck.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Bicycle Favole Playing Cards

I actually rather like the art style, would make for some relaxing games, and the pips that blend into the artwork but are still greatly visible make this deck much more appealing to me than the anne stokes or alchemy decks. I might pick this up if the back design's done right.

Have there ever been any other bicycle decks with a smaller logo like this one? I can see how it would look pretty good in some other designs, but I think the deck would look better, to me, with a more centred image on the tuck box.

I like everything about these cards, but they really aren't worth $13 a deck to me on top of $10 international shipping. The courts are 50/50 for me, with some of them really well done, and some of them just silly-looking and unfitting. The box is beautiful, with all the embossing, I like these subtler american decks without red all over the place, the tax stamp was a nice touch. I think I'd prefer the back design if it were a completely filled rectangle instead of wavy in the middle edges. But yeah, I love the overall theme and design of this deck, but it costs a tad too much for me to justify pledging for them. They'll probably get funded anyway, and I could pick them up from a reseller eventually.

The Ultimate Deck box set that you saw in the UD pre-release pics will be available "soon" in a "very limited quantity". I don't know if the velvet bags are included, or exactly what "soon"  or in a "very limited quantity" mean.

Yeah, I'm just as curious as all of you are.
So, what you're saying is that this is somewhat like TBC's luxury crown deck, with a standard version that's been released and a shiny version with velvet bag and gilded edges that will probably be only attainable in that 2 deck box, which will be released "soon".

Introduce Yourself / Re: Greetings

A video gamer, card collector, lurker and a terry pratchett fan. A man after my own heart. I mean, come on, we both even wrote Greetings as thread titles. I probably haven't been here long enough to say this with any sort of significance, but welcome.

Bah, it's a shame I've sold away all my spares to get cash to buy cards.

Your avatar... MY EYES
Was either that or hot pink. A trait inherited after 2271 hours on Team Fortress 2.
Thanks for emerging from the ranks of the lurkers!  I think you'll enjoy it here.  I'm sure you know that we're a pretty friendly bunch and don't bite (too much)...  :))

If you aren't already, check out the New Deck Report at the top of the Playing Card Plethora - lots of info on current and upcoming releases there, with convenient links.

If you have a question, just tap on the shoulder of one of the moderators (including me) and we'll see what we can do for you.
I probably won't post as much as most of the regulars, but I'm always watching, several times a day.

Pleased to meet you too!
My name's Rad :)

Hope you enjoy your time here at Aether :D
Indeed, I think I'll have a good time here.

Introduce Yourself / Greetings.

I'm just yet another collector from Singapore that's in the phase where I have to buy nearly every single shiny new deck that's released. I'm still relatively new, only really getting into collecting around August when i chanced upon the Quicksilver kickstarter, and slowly developed a deep obsession with all things custom. As it stands today, I've got about 130 different decks from USPCC, mostly attaining them from resellers locally here such as thecardcollectors, magic castle, and cardvolution as well as a number of friendly collectors I have met on my journey.

Most of the information I've gotten comes from either here or UC, , briefly went by the name "lel" on unitedcardists.com for about 30 posts, but with UC not coming up anytime soon, I've realised that I'll have to stick around here for awhile, so I might as well establish myself instead of spending another six months lurking. The name's Kenryk Abraham Chacko Ky Fu Jacob, collector of decks with any form of customization, bridge/poker/hearts/blackjack/taidi player, and occasional seller. Pleased to meet you all.
