Battle 41: Sultan Republic vs Sultan Treasury

We have the basic version of sultan going against the "weathered" version of sultan that was made to follow a story, which one is your favorite?

Treasury actually looked like it fit the theme and was less hard on the eyes.  It's those weird split-pip designs that made it difficult to like the Sultans in the first place, and they're less noticeable on the Treasuries.

Does anyone ELSE have a reason for the votes they cast?  Please, don't be shy...

I went with Republic.
While the map on the inside of the Treasury tuck is bad ass, and backs are great too. I just can't deal with the faces. The coloring is just way over done for me.

nothing much to say abt the quality, so i'll complain abt the color ink  Republic dont get much impressed when all suits are at darked color feature white theme, so hard to noticed red or black suits (even Viper Fan Back make me feel better than this) and it make the deck seem like "gray" more than a "white" deck. so althought i'm not fan of vintage desgins, i still prefer treasury ones in this case. Box simplify, color of cards fits better than Republic when it already have a reason to had darked color and custom box inside out. I'll vote for Treasury

To be honest, I went with the Republic deck. I've never been a fan of heavily themed decks, especially the "aged" ones. It's one of those subtleties; I'd like my cards to look new. However, I wish the reds were darker in the Republic deck. That's my only issue with it along with the confusing pips.

I prefer the Republic deck (though it's so very black...) as the foiling on the box really makes it look like a "treasure box" worthy of a sultan. The aged one tries a little too hard IMO.
