Hi there, my name's Darren from California. I'm not a typical collector or magician - in fact, I only have a few decks! But I do have a great interest in playing cards. I'm a big fan of vintage USPCC decks: Stud, Tuxedo, Steamboat and the like. Looking forward to chatting it up with other card enthusiasts!

Welcome to the forum, Darren.

It's never about the size of the collection, but how much you enjoy the decks of cards that are in it.  One man I know is a magician who runs his own magic/playing card company - his entire personal collection would probably fit into a piece of carry-on luggage twice or thrice over!  Besides, after your first few hundred or so, it gets harder to keep track of all the attractive features and nuances from deck to deck!

If you have any questions, ask, even if they seem obvious.  Obvious to you might not be so obvious to others.  We're receptive to helping out fellow collectors around here!
