No.17 Playing Cards

From the Designer of Heretic and Requiem

I know Lorenzo has been waiting until Heretic was fulfilled. Way to keep your word my friend. This project looks great. I'm sure it will be every bit as successful as the other two.

I have a love affair with Lorenzo's wonderful work and it continues with his No. 17's. He puts so much more into his courts than anyone expects. Number cards are always classy and well designed. This deck in particular looks like he's added an extra touch to everything. Just have a real nice peek and you'll see what I mean. I'm really very excited about this deck.

Correct me if I'm wrong. They took the the "card launcher" branding off? No more "card launcher" association?

I always thought this deck was incredible! It could use some tweaking in my opinion.

I might be in, if a non bicycle branded version is made.

Going to cardlauncher.com takes you to the Deck Refinery forum. They're either defunct or retooling. Probably would have been better to put up an "Under Construction" sign, though - this way, we're forced to guess what happened and what's going to happen.

Correct, the first version v.01 was always designed as the initial release to plug Card Launcher, but this version will stand on it's own. As for non branded, Lorenzo said "I start with Bicycle and as I did for Heretic the unbranded will be unlocked later on, it depends how the campaign goes."

I won a copy of the first one, but this one looks even better.

These are going to be very nice. I'm excited about the campaign already and I try not to do that until it launches.

He is funded already. I pledged right after the funding was finished. I didn't see this deck when I checked six hours back and it is already 100%. And yes, totally deserve it! Getting four decks for myself.

Is there any chance that Bicycle include this deck into its numbered series? I already have No.1 and No. 2 decks.

The Bicycle Limited Edition Series 1 & 2 where done by USPCC for there own sales. I don't think sales went as planned, because they have seemed to give up on the Idea. I know someone will correct me, but I believe they had planed 10 in the series.

Lorenzo is having this deck custom made by USPCC, and he is paying them extra for the right to use Bicycle branding. Long story short- USPCC will not be selling these decks.

That's how I remember it too Rob. I think you're right.

Lorenzo's decks always give me pause, inspire my imagination, and force me to re-think little things about cards. These are no exception. I'm not going to write an essay here, this time haha. I'm just going to say this is very exciting. I promised myself that I wouldn't go too heavy on any campaigns this year. This may change things, again. hahaha, I love it when this happens.

You're correct on all counts. It's a little like expecting a new Civic from Ford. Not gonna happen, totally different product lines as well as producers.

I think I'll have to back this. I'm liking Lorenzo's work a lot. It's no surprise to me that he won Best New Designer in the PCF Deck Awards.

I know I am not a forum-guy, I always get lost and barely active

Just a little update about no.17 Le Chat rouge, I am launching on Saturday October 10 at 2pm EST.
I am working on the campaign, waiting for EPCC to give me the final quotation.

here is a cover picture that shows and overview. Red foil accents on the back of the cards is one of the features I want to put on this deck

As you can see it is not just a color swap, it is an evolution of this No.17 series, and it is the last one. I pretty much covered all the manufacturers eheh

I am Thrilled to hear these won't be USPCC printed! Won't need to cross my fingers hoping the registration is good with EPCC, we'll know it's going to be spot on.
