Hey guys, i was browsing an antique store, and stumbled onto this gem. Its a meticulously kept binder of ace of spades and jokers from all over the world, some at least 70 or 80 years old. I will post some images in several replies as well. Any insight or feedback would be appreciated!

Warning: there's a few vintage "nudie" cards in there...

They look nice - but imagine if it was the entire decks and not just singles!

I wish! One has to wonder where those decks they belong to are. Is there much of a market for singles? Most dont have dates, but theres a nice Kem ace in there from 1935.

This was another great find - two unopened, still sealed decks of Arrco Streamlines...

Where the heck are you finding this stuff?

That's probably late '60s or '70s manufactured - they had a more modern look later on and I remember some company buying Arrco before USPC got to it - Stancraft or something like that.

Cool little antique shop in my town. Guy had no clue what he had. Sold me the Arrcos for a buck - as in 50 cents each. Also got an unopened vegas collector tin with a deck from the 70s, several unopened old coke decks, a models of all nations nudie deck with the wolf on the cover, unopened bike fashion berry deck from ohio, unopened mickey mouse mini deck made by uspcc, and a mint double bridge set from the 70s or so. I added a picture of this one - does this logo ring any bells?

All in all, quite a load. All in, about 20 bucks.

It bears a resemblance to the Carolco Pictures logo but it's not a match.

This company, Community Communications Company, has a logo match, but it appears to be a shell website or a placeholder.  The logo is so insanely simple, it's probably in use by more than one company.

Good stuff. I have put a reservation down to buy my first house which just so happens to be around the corner from the biggest antique dealer within 50 miles of here. I'll be making regular visits!

I first thought of Carolco too Don, since they used to have a movie studio right here in my hometown. I did a similar image search and couldn't believe how many companies use the 3 nested C's as their logo. Do you guys know of anyone who specializes in researching advertising/promo decks?

Good luck Magasaki. I can't believe how many of these little shops are all around that I never paid any attention to. Many of them have a pretty good stash of cards somewhere. I recently found an unopened CVS pharmacy deck from the 70s (possibly early 80s) when they were contracted with USPCC similar to the Walgreens Stud decks - paid 50 cents for it.

Not really - that would be one really narrow specialty.

The new decks CVS has are made by Cartamundi and are absolutely HORRIBLE.  They cost about $3 but I've seen 99-cent store decks that were better.  They make Chinese made Mavericks look like luxury casino decks...
