And there is also a year member ship about $100, give you many things. e.g. 15% off every order.
But unfortunately I don't buy that much.

That is what I am saying...they do not have enough actual product to validate a $100 membership for 15% off.

Well, if they're including shipping in that, an awful lot of their stuff is over $100 for me.  Finally ordered IAOCP and it came in at about $105 total.  I got 3 'points' on the loyalty scheme, whatever that means.

Since the book is $65 that's how they determine how many points you get. I kind of think it is weird though because if you spend $100, subtract the 15% that's $85, and then you lose two points.

Heh, if you guys like that you'll love Founder Status. :P Alas, at this rate it looks like the next deck will launch with Kickstarter as well though.

Everyone that pledges on Kickstarter, and if we are lucky enough to ever produce products without Kickstarter, anyone who buys it.

What the heck, I've been working endlessly on the perks, and I want to reveal some of them now:

- You can buy membership for six months, one year, three years, or a lifetime membership.
- Prices decrease the longer the membership you choose. Six months would be along the lines of $20/month, one year would be $12/month, three years would be $6/month. A lifetime membership would be a one-time cost of $400.
- The perks are the best part. First of all, you get free shipping ($8 flat-rate shipping international) on ALL products regardless of quantity (this excludes wholesalers, for obvious reasons).
- You get discounts on EVERY new release. Discounts range from 5%-25%.
- You get to pre-order all products 48 hours before anyone else can pre-order them.
- You get free swag with all shipments. Swag is a contest with every purchase you make. It's completely randomized and the prizes would include anything from a signed card, to uncut sheets, to decks, and whatever else we have produced at the time. No matter what you buy, you have a 100% chance of getting some kind of swag.
- You get to see what we're working on next before we tell any of the public. You'll be added to a mailing list that gets an insider scoop.
- You get your own personal space on the website. On the Founders page, you'll see your full name. The longer you stay a founder, the more space you get. For example, after one year, we will add an avatar of your choosing. This culminates in an entire section of the founders page that will have your picture, website, about you, etc.
- You get a cool Founder badge on the forums

Kickstarter backers automatically get Founders status. I am considering redoing the way I offered it, and giving it based on how much you pledge. For example, a $1 pledge gets you a 1-month membership. $9 gets you a three-month, $27 gets you a 6-month, $52 gets you a 1-year, $95 gets you three years, and $200+ gets you a lifetime.

I know I said it's a permanent thing, and I'm sticking to that as far as you guys want that (I'll be running a poll later and seeing what people demand). It comes down to this: Do I make Founders status a million times more awesome, or do I make it what it was originally going to be (insider's look, free shipping, small discounts) but give all backers the lifetime status?

So yeah.

Sorry for going off-topic.  ;D

Just going to throw my 2 cents into what alex is asking, alex we as a group are basically funding this deck and aether we are you could say the "founding fathers" of aether, so why not get a lifetime for everyone who pledges. Also why is it the kid who pledges 1 dollar get a months while the kid who pledges 9 times that amount only gets 3 months.

Alright back onto topic: I personally don't buy enough from D&D to make this worth my while, now if you getting into flourishing and all that stuff on D&D site and have the money to spend it is prob an amazing deal.

Like I said, lifetime membership is something that will definitely happen as long as people choose mediocre perks in favor of what I described above. With 300+ people that are likely to be our permanent customers I'm in no position to do all of the above for every order. The line is drawn when I'm not even breaking even on the products.

I was just wondering that maybe it's wiser to do the tiered pledging system and add cooler stuff to the program. Loads of people will still get lifetime.

Hmm, fair enough, what if you did a survey type thing with the people who pledged finding out if they are going to stay with the company or are they just a kickstarter/facebook random.

I vote for tiered membership! I am all about bigger better giveaways. And anyone who doesn't already qualify for lifetime can upgrade to lifetime any time they want.

So, at the minute, I'm pledging $183; for the 9 deck, uncut, art piece pack plus international shipping.  If I want to keep this pack but I throw in another $17, does that mean I get the lifetime membership?  Because I'd be foolish not to.

Please give every backers the founder status.
That was also one of the reason I pleaded on this deck.

@Kanped, I believe if you bumped it to $200 you would definitely get the status.
@phantom, I pledged because I believe in this deck, Alex, an his team...the status is just a perk. In addition, we didn't even know the perks until a day or so ago...so how did you pledge on those grounds?

So I'll clear up the confusion:

When we are closer to the end of Kickstarter I will create a poll for you guys to vote in. The options are:

- Lifetime Founder Status for all, but the perks will always be extremely basic (discount shipping, insider sneak peeks)
- Tiered status, the more you pledge the longer you unlock Founder status. This allows me to do all of the perks I mentioned above which cost loads of money in the long run. Why should someone who pledged $1 get free swag for life like the guy who pledged $200? I want everyone to get benefits, but I think with the enhanced perks, getting a free month for $1 is awesome.

Don't forget you're already getting decks and free shipping with your Kickstarter orders. Who else is handing out long term rewards? Nobody. My goal is to get you guys loving AetherCards for more than one release.

Customer satisfaction is a #1 priority for me.

Thank you for the clear up. So there is no need for us to be going back and forth on here then...I'll save my back and put it forth once the survey comes

Worldwide will be discounted shipping, like on Kickstarter. NOTHING about the program is set in stone yet, so don't quote me on these things when we begin the Founders program.

OK, so I upped my pledge to $201.  I'm now wondering that since I'm pledging another 18 bucks if I could get another 2 decks?  I know I should have really made another account and all but I'd rather give the extra money pro-bono than go through the process of setting up dummy accounts.  If I can get the 2 extra deck, that'd be real cool, if not; I bet I'm STILL up cash on the shipping.
