Post by: sprouts1115 on June 27, 2017, 06:24:09 PM
Jackson Robinson has become The Master of the Playing Cards. His skills are complete.

Launching tomorrow at 12 pm central on Kickstarter, Intaglio. My biggest Kickstarter endeavor yet. A collection of playing cards hand engraved and printed on 19th Century printing presses.

How is Shanghai involved?  He's using Thornwillow Press in Newburgh, NY to do the printing on a real intaglio press with hand-carved plates.

The standard editions are being printed by EPCC in China.

Interesting.  That isn't mentioned anywhere on the KS project page.  Nor do I recall it being mentioned in the videos I've seen.

@Don

It also mentions this in all of the single standard deck tiers. Hope that clears it up.

Copied from one of the tiers:

"With this tier, you will receive one standard style set of Intaglio Playing Cards. The Blue Edition will be commercially offset printed by The Expert Playing Card Company, and feature a traditional blue on white back design."

@Jackson - Glad to see you here. This is an awe-inspiring project. Hats off to the master.

Thanks, Jackson.  It's what I get for looking on the mobile app - you can't see pledges and the campaign page at the same time...
