Monarchs.  Still in the top five of all the decks I own.  Love it!

I like both very much, but I'm gonna give the edge to the Monarchs. Elegant design all the way around.

I like both, but Artifice has had a few decks that to me were clunkers - the original print of purple and the Tundra/Ghost deck.  I haven't been disappointed in a single Monarch deck.

Fell in love with the Monarchs tuck design...and they haven't totally beaten the colour reiterations to death yet. Don't get me wrong, I really like my Artifice decks, but not enough to beat out the Monarchs

But Monarchs win hands down for me. I prefer both their handling and their design.
Also, Monarchs were in a movie, can the artifice claim that?

Funny you were the one to post after me; I was almost going to say in my above post.
Monarchs hands down beat most decks I can think of - the only thing at the moment that I think may give them a run for their money are the fed 52 decks but I have no idea how the fed 52s handle, can't wait for the part 2 to arrive down under

I went Artifice. Just going by visual. I do not own either.

Here is the thing I like about the Monarchs. If you buried the monarchs and let 200 years pass and someone dug them up they would still be a great deck as well as the design would still hold up.

However IMO artifice is already dated.

Monarch = Times New Roman or Helvetica
Artifice = Comic Sans or Marker Felt

See personally I dont like the design of the monarchs. Artifice though has a nice classy feel
