Ok, funny thing, I'm editing to change my card, because just as I posted my original pick (was Jack of Clubs), maggock literally posted that card...it's like...i knew it was going to be drawn.

anyways, my new pick is actually..5 of hearts!

If you "refer a friend to enter" you get three extra entries.  Obviously this seems like a silly promotion, as who would want to increase someone else's chance of winning, oh well. Here is my link http://a.pgtb.me/pWj7KH?app_data=entry_id%253D53148883

Legends V2 Metalic Black Limited edition... wait for it.... wait for it... $9.99

I would pick up a deck except for the $12 domestic shipping, ouch.

Have to agree with Jackson - you have the choice to pull the trigger or not, and the choice is only yours.  The only people who might get burned are people that are new to collecting or people that are indecisive (some can't afford it as well, me being one in some circumstances, but that's just life).  Not to mention that I know from personal experience that Jackson in particular has gone out of his way on numerous occasions to make sure people have the opportunity to experience his art.

Tyl3r, you're very welcome! Thank you, Paul  :D

Have been waiting for this one forever!! Got a signed and pledged an extra $11 for an add on deck so I can open and enjoy.  I love the 8x10s too, wish I could afford some, they look gorgeous.

I think half a brick makes sense, that way it can offer a small price break at 6 decks and it won't allow for people to purchase unfair quantities.

Hi Everyone,

The Clipped Wings Kickstarter page will go live this Thursday, March 20th, at 12:57 pm EDT!

March 20 is the first day of Spring, and 12:57 pm EDT is the moment the Vernal Equinox occurs.

The campaign will have 2 early bird rewards:
1. A signed deck
2. A signed deck + a signed uncut sheet

To Don: should I create a new thread in the Playing Card plethora page, or will this thread be moved there?

Have an alarm set for these!! How many Early bird slots for the signed deck will there be?

Thanks!

Thanks for these guys, landed the last two updates.

34
Will do!! Ironically I had picked up the OBO for the Legends v1 as well - gave you the referral for MTS and the Mechanic decks.  Greatly appreciated.

35
Very nice haul there Princess Trouble, what do you think of the Creepy deck? I have to say, I liked it much more once I had it in hand.

Picked up the Mechanic VR2 yesterday, clever marking system  ;)

Where did you pick up the Mechanic VR2 Sparkz?

37
Landed 2 of everything, happy this is the first Jackson Robinson I've had the opportunity to back!!

38
A shiny penny to anyone who sends me a PM when this goes live.

We live yet?

Maybe something related to Harry Houdini?  RAHRY, Harry...I tried using other coding stuff I've done in the past and nothing really lines up.

The backs are the best for a novelty deck I've seen in a long time...include a [somewhat] subtle one-way backs, reasonable price, if they get close to the USPCC printing I'm in.

Can't quite afford it at this time, but I would love every deck in this box, curious to see what the "Sharp" deck looks like.  Any pictures?

My 5 is a true sampling of the custom market right now.

I was  faced with a decision earlier tonight.  I was going to meet a magician I really respect, but I didn't know his card preferences.  Just in case he might have asked me to show him what I was working on, I had to pick a deck to bring.  If they were open I probably would have gone with the Black Reserve Notes.  I was going to bring my Exquisites, but I knew he would catch their sneaky sneaky tricks.

I ended up bringing the White Ghosts.  Classic and elegant backs, sweet color scheme for the pips, modern but not too overwhelming.

So if I'm bringing 5 decks, I say the White Ghosts, Exquisites, Black Reserve Note Feds, Brown Wynns, S&M v5

I went in for the Early Bird Bicycle set...originally went unbranded because, you know, $34 is a steal for that, but the fact that there are only 1000 of the Bicycle decks per color printed made me change my mind.

Took a closer look at the decks in the variety box. Those GOLD Private Reserve S&M's are phenomenal. The Red Whispering Imps & Red Chinatown decks look amazing now seeing them in person.

Would you pick the gold private reserve over the branded black reserve note? Just curious.  I'm now leaving towards getting the box.  I figured I'd have more chances getting the black reserve note,  but this maybe one of the few chances I have of getting the gold private reserve...

I absolutely agree with !An0nym0u5 that it comes down to personal preference if you had to pick between the two individual decks.  That being said, it's definitely possible the Gold Private Reserves will be made available in some other fashion (say, on art of play for individual sale at a likely overpriced amount). The main appeal of the box is the variety and quality of the 12 decks as a group.  If I had to choose between individual decks though, I would probably go with the Black Notes, their just so gorgeous.

Now, this is would I would actually do if I were in your shoes (but for some people this may be impossible or too much of a hassle):  The Black Reserve notes on on sale for $45 + tax and shipping.  I would get the Variety Box, keep the Gold Reserve, and sell a handful of the decks in the box as a package for like $60 to fund the purchase of the Black Reserves.  The market hasn't quite been set yet, but the "Deckstarter" deck may fetch a few bucks and it's not exactly the best looking deck I've seen.

Just my 2 cents.

Well my fellow card collectors, the VB(s) have arrived.

Do you want the good news OR the bad news?

Both! But maybe bad news first :P

The bad news

1. That burning question about the "no two VB's are the same". I bought two and they are both identical. What are the odds!

2. My package came to me beat the shit out of. Not D&D's fault. Just stating a fact.

The good news

1. D&D packages their stuff so well, nothing was damaged.

2. Completely happy with the decks I got.

What decks did you land?  It looks like the people that jumped on the deal early got some nice ones (saw DJT got Game of Death, Private reserved, numbered Tahoe, nb).

When I ordered mystery decks the packaging was destroyed too, so much so that they had to replace a few of the decks, but they were cool about it.

I definitely see potential in the concept, are the backs reflective to act as shiners (maybe silver reflective borders/area that's not part of the blue backs you have already) - that would be a pretty good spy tool ;)
