Where to I begin?

OK, quality - a print run with MPC.  They're OK, but he could have done much better.

The art on the courts - the faces really look off, like they're a little out of proportion and the elements of the face aren't well-placed to make them appear artistic or attractive.  Simply put, they're far from the "golden mean".

Big Roman columns on the courts certainly says "ancient" to me, but on the number cards, too?  Cluttered.

Speaking of spot cards, why oh why are the pips arranged thusly?  All they say to me is "I'm trying to be different by making my deck in the same way used by everyone else who is trying to make their decks look different."  What the hell is wrong with simple pip placements, especially in a deck that supposed to be themed off of "ancient" and not "modern if-poorly-executed design"?

Card back, anyone?  We see a design on the back of the tuck box, but we don't know if that's the actual back design or not.  The designer doesn't say anything about it.

He's using a budget printer, but is probably expecting a small print run with high per-deck costs.  Who wants to pay $14 for a budget-printer deck shipped domestically?  And the international shipping rates are outrageously high - ten extra dollars to ship a SINGLE DECK?  I understand about the need to fill out the Customs forms, but that's crazy-high.

He's practically assured of reaching his goal, but it's only because the goal is so terribly low.  It's not really a bad idea overall and some elements of the execution are fine, but others need SERIOUS work.  In this state, I wouldn't pay $14 for it.

I agree 100%, initially I made a post at another playing cards forum about the lack of following the golden ratio and the great theme. Honestly, I didn't even get as far as the pips, now that I've actually looked at those as well... I don't like the layout at all. There's nothing for me on this one.

Y'know, you're ALLOWED to mention other forums here...  It ain't like the old days!  You can even say nice things about them!

But yeah, it needs work.
