That's a good question! I'm not sure actually. I'll have to keep my eyes out....

I'll be sure to update this thread if I ever find one.  Perhaps in the local gift shops there will be an awful cheap pack somewhere.

I'm very aware of this unfortunately.  Looking it up in urbandictionary shows even more things....

Unfortunately, it's too late to change, I'm known in many places as Pookey, and even have the domain name!

Introduce Yourself / Hello from the land of Robin Hood

Hello from the land of Robin Hood (that's Nottingham, UK - almost the middle of England).    I've been into magic for years, but only as a curious spectator.  I'd bought books in the past, but was rarely motivated enough to put practice into it.  This changed about a year ago.

About a year ago, I decided to get myself a deck or two, and start to put some time into learning and practising the art.  I'm a card collector, although my collection is fairly modest at the moment with only a few dozen decks - but this is growing monthly, sometimes weekly.  I don't perform much, occasionally for friends and rarely strangers - however I intend to change this soon by performing for randoms until I get over the nerves stage that seems to for some reason cause my hands to shake, even when performing for friends!  This level of nervousness came as a surprise to me, as I rarely get nervous about things - I'm sure it's something many others here faced in the past and is over come with practice.

So, that's me - Hi.

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / Re: 10 non gimick tricks you should hve

Personally I've found Pokers Picnic to get good results.  I like to do this when there's 3 people around the table, I get the first person to name a random number, if it's 3, I stick with it.  If it's not 3, I let the person pick the deck up and remove that number of cards from the first stack, and ask the 2nd person, then the 3rd, then do the 3 myself on the last pile.  If you know the trick that will make sense I hope.  The real changer for me in this trick is to let the users handle the piles.

Also, Out of this World works well - however I've had the last 2 people constantly just call 'red' for every card, which has knocked this trick down a bit for me.

:)) if we had not mentioned yet that would've been interesting! Unfortunately we did and it's somewhere deep in this thread. The one way back is much more subtle than the faces which I personally think is amazing.

I thought it must have been!  I love this deck - however the one way face is upsetting me :)

There's certain cards you can one way face anyway, and I feel the face is a bit too obvious.  With the face being so obvious, if it's spotted it will put the rest of the deck into doubt.   Just me?

I didn't see it mentioned here yet (I could well have missed it in the pages and pages of comments) - but I can't be the first to notice it has a one way face as well as a one way back.
