Two of the powerhouses combine forces for good! Jackson, Randy, do you guys want to take my order now, or do you want me to actually wait for the formality of releasing the full design details?! ;-)

while I'm sure Randy or Jackson will comment, Kings Wild "Funded" would most likely mean Randy is doing a solo crowdfunded project through Jackson's platform, not necessarily that they are designing together. I'm glad to see Randy step out from doing work through HOPC or Blue Crown and do something on his own. :)

Paul nailed it! This is my first solo project.

After posting the Midnight / KW Funded teaser, I have changed direction on the quantity / pricing strategy - inspired by Don's "Playing Card Bubble" thread. The original plan was 1,500 Limited of each Deck (a pair), individually numbered seal stickers, priced around $14 MSRP per Deck. My new strategy is open-ended print numbers (during the campaign), no seal stickers (I prefer Tucks without them), priced around $9 MSRP per Deck (much lower for higher quantity orders).

The lower price would still contain lots of bling on the Tucks - Foil, Metallics, Embossing... We're still working on whether it will be through KW Funded or if I switch it over to Kickstarter. Seeing as I would need as many eyes as possible with the new pricing strategy, I'm leaning towards Kickstarter. I would use KW Fulfillment either way!

I'm pretty sure there will be a little more info going up today on Kardify today.

thanks, Randy

This is awesome, looking forward to what you have.  It's promising to see somebody going the lower price, more volume route.  However, if it's $9 plus $4 shipping for a single deck that's just $1 less than a $14 shipped KS deck and would be missing the point...  I do agree that seals are just silly for those of us that open it and for those that keep it on a shelf I can't image it really adds anything for very many, always puzzled me with how so many projects put so much focus on that (even to the point of a seal swap means ULTRA RARE).

I usually don't share this much info, but I'll take the chance. Here's the Pledge Rewards breakdown I have planned out. This would be the price for U.S. KS backers. INT. Backers would, of course, have a little extra shipping fees. I'm basing the $11 tier as $9 + $2 shipping.

thanks, Randy

I'll wait to show any Cards until it gets close to launch, but here's a Higher Res version of the Tucks Render. The Tucks will use a smooth matte White Stock, Blue / Orange Foil, Metallic Gold and Pantone Black. It will also have Embossing and some selective areas of UV Varnish. I'll have a Stretch Goal for a 1-Color Interior printed design (Blue / Orange Metallic Ink).

thanks, Randy

Pricing. Check.
Tuck. Check.

Will these have custom court cards or the Legends court cards? (please say custom court cards...)

I just noticed "Printed by Legends Playing Card Co" on the side... and so I'll definitely be in for a brick.

As always, incredible artwork Randy -- you're the real deal!

Hey Nurul,

I'm on my way out the door, so I'll just copy and paste a post I did on UC the other day after a similar question:

I'm pretty much ready to go. I'm waiting out a few things first (Seasons KS launch, LUXX pre-order, T11 Decks, Army Deck KS launch, Gatorbacks, Sawdust KS launch, HOPC White ORNATE release... — it's a crowded time!). This year's Labor Day is almost like the new Black Friday.

I know what date I'm shooting for but I don't want to say it out loud yet. The White ORNATE fulfillment is taking a week or two longer than we expected, so I already had to delay my plan a bit to allow for the HOPC release getting pushed back.

Once everything comes into place, I'll go forward very quickly.

thanks, Randy

If they release in September, then I'll probably have to sell off some of the rare decks in my collection... because I don't want to miss out on these!

Midnight Cards and LPCC... great combination -- I don't think it gets any better than that brother!

They won't be released for purchase in September, they'll be launched via Kickstarter, assuming this month. So if you did pledge, you won't be charged til some time in October

I'm going to have no choice but to opt out of another high profile KS campaign, because I can't pass on this deck.

The Legends Classic finish AND a borderless design... nope, no way I can pass!!

Absolutely love the back design -- really nice use of vivid colours. Awesome.

I don't post on here too often, but I feel like I need to on this one. I love everything about this project. The colors are gorgeous and vibrant yet super playable! Also, I love that the decks you see at the beginning of the project are the ones you get. No secret rare re-coloring. I'm trying to hold off on purchasing new cards, but I will definitely be supporting you early tomorrow. Excellent job on this project!

For any non-Backers of the Draconian project, here's a look at the Coin prototype. CFA is working on a lot of changes to get the details to look right on the Dragon Head side, but the Scales side looks and feels sweet!

Randy,

With your current KS promotion, would it be TOO jerky to 'refer' two of my other KS accounts?

Nah, that's fine! As Long as you don't decrease your original pledge, it's still eligible.

Thanks, Randy

If you did I would have snatched it and added a pair. 8)  lol, I'm making the rounds and hitting the forums.

Just a couple days to go. Don't miss out.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

On Friday I modified my pledge for 12 decks to 26 decks... because I like them that much brother!

Randy has said that there'll be no more recolours or reprints, which is fair enough... but in time, that'll probably make people kick themselves for not getting more of these, once they see the deck reviews on YouTube. The way the tuck box has been described, it sounds like it's going to be really awesome -- better than what the rendered images show.

I really like what Randy has done with the courts -- I think he's the best when it comes to adding a twist to traditional courts.

The price point for these decks makes it a pretty awesome deal -- chances are that the price will be $15 and upwards when they start appearing on eBay.

I'm buying the decks purely for personal use, and to add to my collection, rather than resale. Chances are that when I run out, I'll be kicking myself for not (somehow!) being able to get a 3rd brick... but then again, I've pledged for as much as my monthly budget allows me to :D
With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

I'm glad to hear the you control your hobby, rather than the other way around!

I agree that it's a very attractive design - I've backed for a few myself.  This is one of those designs that I wish would see repeated printings, 'cause it looks exceptionally playable as well as being great for magic and cardistry.

Friendly reminder time! Rapidly approaching the final 24 hours, 27 left as I type this.

A couple EB pledge slots opened up for a pair of these. Seriously though, all the pledge slots are sweet. By the very nature of these decks, they will be limited. By the nature of the art on these decks and crazy cool tucks, they will be sought after. Randy is one of those designers that even if something is amazing looking in a render, it's better in real life. Sure it's a subjective thing to say, I feel like a LOT of people would agree with me on that statement.

While I've already chewed through my hobby budget for this month, last month. I'm thinking I may not need to go to the hockey game haha, yea I'm thinking up ways to get another brick. Incidentally, this is the only current campaign that I am already in for multiple bricks.

Try not to miss out. You'll probably be kicking yourself later if you do. :)

Now why would we do that when we can kick you and take yours?  :))

This is an excellent deck, and if I'm not mistaken it's Randy's first borderless design.

Thanks Don and Fes!!

Just 1 Hour left! After today it switches into full-out Production Mode (which shouldn't be hard since all of the Print Files are at the Printer).

thanks, Randy

I'm excited to get these decks.  One of my favorites this year, so far.  I hope they come with a tough, thick tuckbox (ala LUXX).  I want to use these decks regularly for card games.

Currently in production with Legends! Pre-orders will be through the Grinders BackerKit (and will fulfill with Grinders).

Dracs are one of my favorite decks of all time.  I'll be getting these, for sure!

Yep, I posted something me images to a Facebook cards group, to test the waters and see reactions to the design. I think it went well!

I'll be doing a formal post though a Draconian KS Update on Monday. Here's a few more images of the Face Cards!

Thanks, Randy
