Check this out.

I looked over at Dan and Dave to see if they were still selling Studs (they aren't), and looky when I found...

http://shop.dananddave.com/playing-cards/stripper-deck.html

They're selling the Ace Fulton's deck as a STRIPPER deck, and each order is accompanied with a standard Ace Fulton's deck to go with it!  The gaffed decks are sealed with a long, rectangular white-on-black seal with an image of a stripper leaning against a pole (reeeeeally subtle, eh?).

The kicker is the matched pairs (standard plus stripper, both same color) are $17.77 each and there's only 250 sets - presumably there's 125 in Tobacco Brown and 125 in Sunset Orange.

If you didn't get any packs of Ace Fulton's, this would be a good opportunity...

I personally wouldn't get any because in my opinion, the handling of the Ace fulton Casino cards kind of suck, the orange ones anyway and the point was to make a casino deck ... AND THEY MAKE A GAFF? It kind of destroys the idea of it being a casino deck a deck that there cannot be gaffed. Which is why they had all the " security measures " and they put it as a gaff. Oh D&D you so silly. All this in my opinion, feel free to disagree with me. :D

Instead of wasting your money on a stripper deck, why not just get the regular ace fulton's decks?

D&D were selling red and blue Bee Diamond Backs and Expert at the Card Table decks that were strippers cut to the same guidelines used by a less-than-entirely-honest illegal casino...  They had a torrent of complaints, though.  Most customers were expecting something like the standard pack of red Bikes, with a really easy-to-grab edge (which unfortunately also makes them easy to see).  I snagged the blue and the EATCT but missed out on the red.  The edge is cut so fine, the inverted card is practically invisible to the naked eye and it requires a DELICATE touch to extract it from the deck.  The only way you can see the inverted card, and only barely at that, is if you lay the deck down on its side edge against a table.  I don't think I'd use those for an "oil-and-water" trick.

If I had to guess, I'd say these are easier strippers - easier to use, easier to spot.  The "pro-grade" strippers were $20 a pack, no extra plain deck, and these are nearly three bucks cheaper and come in a matched pair of gaffed and ungaffed.  I like using the pro-grade strippers when I'm working with someone who's already knowledgeable about stripper decks - he can look all he wants, but he's not going to see that edge.

Instead of wasting your money on a stripper deck, why not just get the regular ace fulton's decks?

OK - so how would one go about being a member, since that's a prerequisite for buying this deck...?  (I'm not concerned since I've stopped buying D&D decks, but someone else might be interested.)

A stripper deck really is optional to use as a stripper deck. You can just use it as a normal one. But the basics are that one side is wider than the other, so if you flip over one card upside down (not face down) into the deck, you'll have every card the same width except for that one, and you'll be able to strip it out easily.

To become a D&D member, you have to pay $100 a year, and sign up for their membership. D&D advertises that you'll receive exclusive savings, shopping privileges (as seen above), free stuff, and a private newsletter. I am assuming that this is how D&D plan to sell off their remaining stock.

I'm guessing some will also be offered to DOTM members, so that may be where their remaining stock will go. *Crosses fingers for red JAQK or Archangels though*.

Red JAQK is a solid possibility.  Archangels, though - T11 isn't actually selling them, at least not yet, and it remains to be seen if they even will.  D&D will usually toss in one of their own, a classic deck or a T11 deck that T11 was or is selling.

People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

Thanks for that, Aaron.  But I'm wondering if they're any difference in the cards (a la the Steam Punk deck) that T11 is selling, or if the faces are identical (a la the Guardians) to the USPC-branded version.  They look identical on the box, but the ad rather cleverly manages to leave out a single face card image, other than the Ace of Spades and one Joker.

OK, so NOW Archangels are a possibility!  Considering the low price, though, a rather disappointing one.

T11 doesn't really change their card faces a whole lot, they are just mostly recoloured USPCC faces with sometimes a dash of metallic ink, the exceptions are the sentinels and the JAQKs, I can't think of any others at the moment, but even those faces are not super revolutionary. Since the Archangels are already recoloured it is highly unlikely they are going to bother to do more to change it.

Back to the topic though, you might want to keep your Ace Fulton's Casino decks sealed to save yourself the dissapointment that is the fanning ability of the cards. Of course since this is a Casino deck it isn't supposed to be used for any fancy fanning but you expect as much coming from the D&D company. It is the worst handling in my opinion compared to the other Fulton decks.

I know - it's just that for the decks I listed, they were "collaborations" with USPC, where a T11 version and a USPC version were released.  The Guardians were mostly identical - the box and ad cards were the only difference.  The Steam Punks had a bigger difference - the T11 "copper" version had more attractive, darker inks, while the USPC "brass" version had no embossing/debossing on the box and standard USPC colors for the faces, and the "silver/steel" version USPC recently released has a largely black-and-white color scheme with a box more closely resembling the T11 box in form if not in color.

As far as disappointment - I avoided any disappointment altogether by not buying the deck in the first place!  I'm off D&D decks now, no longer collect them.  Now that I think of it, perhaps I can sell the ones I have...  time will tell...
