Hello, my name is Alex and I am from New York City.

I have been collecting playing cards since I accidentally found some advertised on Amazon and then from there discovered where they were being sold. After purchasing from several major sites like T11, E, D&D, CA, and also from eBay; I eventually found out about Playing Card Forum and learned about Kickstarter. My collecting has gotten so overwhelmingly addicting and I have been backing quite a few projects.

I'd like to say this all started from June of '14 and I have been following this site sometime afterwards. From time to time, I follow Playing Card Forum to keep myself up to date with everything going on in the playing card universe.

So now I finally decided this was the right time to pull the trigger and join this forum. I am looking forward in conversing with you fellow card collectors from time to time.

Cheers, Talisman/Alex.  I am also a New Yorker!  It's a pretty crazy but fun time to be a card collector, especially with the explosion of all the Kickstarter decks.  There's usually something for every taste - and occasionally a few things devoid of any taste!  This is a good place to learn about it - and we also have a thriving section for collectors of vintage and antique decks.  Once you start dabbling in vintage, it's hard to go back!

If you can't find something you want to know using Search, just ask.

Thanks Don and Tom. I have been learning a lot from this forum for quite awhile before I decided to become a member of this community. I was just looking for the right time to do it.
