If this project reaches its goal, I will lost all hope for playing cards......and humanity for that matter. This is just plain dumb. People trying to make a cheap buck.

Unless he's printing the cards himself at home, he stands a solid chance of LOSING money, not making it.  Some people draw up a "business plan" that makes no financial sense whatsoever when creating KS projects.  One kid actually tried offering a USPC-manufactured deck, 2,500-deck run, with a goal of only $1,000.  That wouldn't even cover the POSTAGE on such an undertaking!

Considering the first try did $65 in 9 days- this is a 40 day project- he should get his funding by $10-$20     ::)
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

There's something coming to mind about fools and their money...

It's possible he will get all his original backers, it's possible he'll get more - but it's also possible he'll get LESS.  I'd like to think that some Kickstarter backers have a few brain cells they can rub together for warmth and that they'd realize something about this project doesn't past the sniff test.

  • I like birds.

  • Kickstarter:
Ok.

WHY would he ever cancel his project with a goal of $8,500 and restart it with a goal 3% of the original? That's insane.

This has got to be the most poorly thought through KS campaign I've ever seen. I almost want to back it for a buck to see the ensuing failure if it actually goes through with funding.

He would cancel it because he predicted that his chances of success were slim with a goal that size.  Then he pulled a number out of his a$$ that was low enough to nearly guarantee reaching the goal, but the number, unbeknownst to him, is insanely low for a deck project, even with an off-label printer.

Why give him a buck?  Is his deck REALLY worth a buck?  I prefer watching train wrecks from a distance rather than in the lounge car...
