I'll send off my PayPal payment tonight while I'm at work (evening shift today instead of overnight).  I'm looking forward to seeing these clips.  At those prices, this could be an excellent alternative to using metal - they're so expensive, even for a plain-Jane model.

Thank you everyone! This sale went very nicely and because of its success we will be able to move forward with the project.  We will be including a special extra item with your prototypes.  I will be double checking orders and working on a few of the invoices issues over the next 2 days.  If your one of the people experiencing invoice problems please email me so I can better handle the situation.  Also if you have an invoice that you've not paid but is visible already in your PayPal, you have until Wednesday to pay it.  After that time your order will be canceled.  Thanks again and for more news and updates you can refer to the thread in design and development.

Its made of bamboo.

Heres what Robert (the creator) says: "ECO Card Clip is made from Bamboo and is roughly 1/10 of an inch think to provide the durability needed to protect your deck without feeling bulky.  Bamboo is a very ridged wood and has been fabricated for many protective cases for many Apple products and has also been used to manufacture benches.  So the wood may seem unreliable for the job but bamboo is ridged and very dense. The clip will be available in two versions.  One clip will be available with a lacquer finish the will present a darker color while the other will have no finish and will maintain a natural look.  The lacquer will also provide and extra amount of durability to the wood. "

No I think we should be getting an update in the next week or so. I know that they were making some progress and that they were getting close to shipping out prototypes. We'll have to wait on an official update from the guys though  :P

Ok thanks. I thought it was mentioned that the official sale was end of Jan, but there has been no communication after we have paid for the prototypes.

Yeah communication has been a little lacking but they have been pretty busy with all the business stuff! It's been an awesome start for the company and I'm excited for them. I'm sure they'll pop in soon and give us an update  :)
