Introduce Yourself / Reintroducing myself
« on: January 07, 2017, 12:16:03 PM »
Hello everyone.  My name is Mike (from Delaware) and I joined this site way back in September 2014.  Was just dabbling in the hobby at that time and seeing if it was something I wanted to do.  I think I had around 60 decks at the time.  For some reason sport cards kept pulling me back so this hobby took a back seat to them.  I finally said enough is enough with the sport card hobby and got back into collecting decks in October 2016.  I haven't looked back.  Sold a lot of my sports cards which has enabled me to bring my deck collection to up to over 300.  I love backing projects on Kickstarter.  Being able to be part of something that comes to life is fun.  My goal for 2017 is to have 500 decks in my collection.  I would also like to start collecting single cards like the Jokers or Aces from older decks.  Not something I know anything about so I'll be asking for advice and I'm sure I'll have many questions.  Anyways, thanks for reading my post and I'm looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone.  I did join the 808 Club and got my Welcome Package already.  I've been bouncing around the site and was wondering if there is a particular place to ask questions?

Welcome Rookiecfrdnut, nice collection! Do you collect only Bicycle branded decks?

You may want to head over to the Introduce Yourself forum as well and tell us a bit more about yourself. Welcome aboard!

Back to New Acquisitions, lol......Voltige, I really like the cards, the soft tuck is really nice, but it does pick up fingerprints and smudges easily. The cards handle really well also.
Forgive the watermarks, but some people have been taking liberties with my images.

Thanks Anthony.  I'm basicly going to collect anything that catches my eye.  I started with Bikes because its the brand I recognized but after checking out some sites there are definitely some other brands that are a must add for my collection.

I play softball, golf, and bowl during my spare time.  Terrible golfer but decent bowler.  Also love to cook.  Have a hugh sport card collection I may get back to some day.

Hey all,  I'm a former sports card collector from Philadelphia living in Delaware who was looking for something different to collect.  I typed "collecting cards" into a search a few weeks back and up popped playing cards.  Had no clue that there was so much out there.  Really love the art and variety.  I'm up to 66 decks so far (all Bicycle) and couldn't be happier.  Being new have a ton of questions.  Really looking forward to meeting everyone and expanding my collection.

Mike

Hey everyone!  New person to the forum and to deck colleting.  Here's my start after 3 weeks.  Hope I did this right.
