I'd like to nominate the David Blaine Green gatorbacks for best tuck box.

And not the black ones with the silver alligator?  :))

As they're essentially the same, your nominating the Gatorbacks, not just a single color of them.  It's like me nominating the Blue Crown deck but not the Red or Green Crowns.

Please remember, everyone - nominations must be SECONDED.

Fair enough. I'd like to nominate the gatorbacks regardless of them being black or green. I do however think that it makes a difference. The tuck boxes are different, all be it just the colour of the gator. I preferred the green gatorbacks tuck compared to the black gatorback tuck.
I just really liked the green colour of the gator and thought it added an extra pop to the deck.
Having said that, I think that either are worthy of an entrance to the best tuck case of 2014.
Hopefully someone will second my nomination.

Although I find the Gatorback tuck boxes amazing, I nominate the Voltige Deck.

The Independence Limited Editions. Its beautiful, has a numbered hand-signed belly band printed on both sides, velum wrapper with seal, embossed with great art, great slogan 'Don't Tread on Me', and unique tuck with wrap-around door with tongue. Printed on both sides, with the inside a diptych between the Continental and Crown version.

I also think there is a difference, as in the green gators make the tuck stand out more compared to the silver/black ones.

Does the metal gears on Dale Mathis 3D Mechanized Deck count? If it does, i would like to nominate that.

The difference lies only in the color of a single element - if photographed in black and white, they'd look nearly the same.

Gatorbacks

D&D Gold Private Reserve

Mana No.3 Sybil tucks.

PICK ONE.

Yes, and it WOULD count as a different deck from the non-mechanical one.  Why?  Because there's an actual, tangible difference that's more than simply a color change on the box.

D&D Private reserve.

I absolutely love the inner foil and this was the first deck I have come across personally with the angled box lid that I think looks really slick.

We nominate the Aquila Limited edition deck by Kardify, Ade Suryana and produced by Lawrence Sullivan of Legends PCC. I know it hasn't been seen yet but it is far and away the finest production values for a tuck yet released by anyone, anywhere.

That will be just fine, as long as it delivers this year.

EVERYONE - please remember nominations aren't a done deal until they have been SECONDED!

I seconded Aquila Playing Cards

Welcome to the Playing Card Forum, Akmal!  When you have a moment, you should head over to the Introduce Yourself board so we can have a chance to properly welcome you and get to know you a little better!

As mentioned, Aquila will be eligible when it delivers - assuming it's on schedule, it should begin shipping this month.

That's pretty intense praise on the LE Aquillas considering what's come out this year. Excited to get my Aquillas soon.  :D

Hard choices here with 52+J slipcase, Gnostic Rose Gold, LUXX, Tenebre Rosso, and Zenith. Not to leave out the overlooked and gorgeous tuck for Boardwalk Papers. Little black dress truck of Unbranded Double Blacks, and Moriartys. The very slick Ornates as well. The Prohibition series looks like it's going to have some sharp tucks as well. Then there's another pretty amazing tuck due to hit later this month too.. RUN!

No way I choose one yet hahaha.

Thank you everyone for your nominations!!!
Just note if you pick 3-10 decks your first nomination will be the one that counts.
Also if the deck is yet to be released, the vote can only count if it is released in 2014.

I'd like to nominate Zenith. Initially I didn't think it would be my cup of team buts it's really grown on me.

I don't think I have nominated any here for best tuck box. So, I'm going to haha.

I nominate Gnostic Rose Gold by Stuart Palm. Awesome tuck! Some great photos of this amazing tuck can be found at CARC (http://shop.conjuringarts.org/store/pc/NEW-Gnostic-Rose-Gold-Black-by-Legends-Playing-Card-Company-160p1053.htm#.VKH6x_9C5Q).

Out of curiosity, why just the one color?  I've listed it simply as "Gnostic", since all three colors have their charms and are of the same basic design.

Of the three it is the most dramatic and unusual. Black paper with copper and silver foil on the outside, copper foil on the inside, wow. That's a truly intense color combination and it reflects on the tuck. Absolutely gorgeous, I'm sure that people who own a copy of all three agree with me when I say it does stand out among the other two tucks. Sure, I love them all. I like this one more and so do people who see the tucks when they visit. They always pick up the Rose Gold first, admiring it while I tell them a little about the decks. If the category was best tuck set, I'd nominate Gnostic overall. I don't see it that way, I read it as best tuck period.

While there are some differences in terms of colors and foil, to be sure, the series of three decks had in essence the same basic design in all three cases.  Hence, I'd consider it as the tuck box for the series.  If the box was radically different, like the difference between the silver and gold 52 Plus Joker 2014 deck, then I'd break them out into different nominations.

I wouldn't sweat it, really.  If anything, being part of a series buoys the chances of a given deck - three gorgeous examples of the art, in this case, rather than just one.
