I'm in for sure, lots of family and friends connected to the Army, will be first time I go for at least a brick.

Will any proceeds be donated to Veterans Organizations?  Sure seems like this would be a great way to raise some awareness and help our vets.

Too bad you didn't get it earlier, would've been awesome to launch a campaign yesterday, June 14th, the Army's Birthday.  I know myself and a lot of my friends that are former Army are really looking forward to this deck.

I figured out the marking system both the suits & numbers but I have no idea about the link.  Never been good at riddles, make my brain hurt.

It's fixed.

I'm really disappointed in those faces.  It might as well be Robocycle 2.0...

Agree 100%.  I can't remember if I ordered 2 or 3 decks.  After seeing those pics, if it's just 2 that I ordered I'll keep one wrapped and the other not even bother opening the cellophane.  Oh well, they can't all be winners I guess.

Today was a good day for the collection. Got two packages in, one from USPCC with a few of their new offerings and the other is a deck that I found while shopping for a new 3-day pack for the car.  It's from Maxpedition which makes some high quality packs and tactical equipment.  Cards are full plastic and smell like PVC piping   ???  .  They're a fun deck that will be able to withstand all sorts of abuse and I must say I really like the whimsical courts. I will be keeping a deck in my new bag (which I ended up getting from London Bridge Trading instead of Maxpedition).  If anyone's interested, cards can be bought for $3.99 here: http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/Tactical-Field-Deck-All-Weather-Playing-Cards-8p1860.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm the exact opposite, I think this is the nicest series that Jackson has done yet.  Looks better in my eyes than any of the fed 52 items and what I imagine the Holmes decks to be like.  Really looking forward to them.

Thanks HolyJJ....

....and very nice additions Verloren, I keep going back and forth on that Butterfly Deck, lol

Don't hesitate - it's a beautiful deck.  If I'm not mistaken, it was a Lotrek design, made for RSVP Magic in the UK.  The Timeless deck is his as well, from the same company, and another great design.  I'm also partial to the Dark Deco deck from RSVP, but it's not a Lotrek design.

Ha. I had just written over on UC that I really liked the Butterfly deck and considered it one of the more underestimated decks out there.  I didn't know it was a Lotrek design.

Got Vintage?  That's what got me into collecting cards originally though I don't have anything major in that field.

I really like the Folio Society deck illustrated by Jon Burton.  It can be found on eBay but expect to pay a fair price unless you find a seller in England willing to ship to the US.

They're available for purchase now.  Picked up a pair of the Dark Diamonds and a set of the Question playing cards.  That 4-deck Bundle pack is a nifty deal too, but I already have a few of the fatboyeatallday cards.

$60,000 in 10 hours is awe-inspiring.  FUNDED!!

Damn, I would have loved to got that, but was busy playing skyrim and missed it. :( :mindf-ck:

I was looking at screen protectors for my new ipad and realized the time was just past noon central.  To quote the great super agent, Maxwell Smart, "Missed it by that much."

Looks like it'll be another stellar project.  Funny how the uncut tucks are more expensive than an uncut card sheet.  I barely missed out on the $11 level, clicked on it only to be told it's unavailable at one of the following screens.  Maybe one of these days I'll be deemed lucky enough I guess.  But I'm in for 2 of everything right now.

Congratulations on the launch Jackson, you're a shrewd businessman and a brilliant artist living the American Dream.  Gotta love it.

He posted pics of the AoS on his FB pag.  Looks like 4 decks so far, std and ltd editions of each one.   :D

You know I will have the link minutes after it goes live

Yeah, but now instead of a nice day out at the range or the workshop, I'll be like a rabid monkey on Heisenberg's meth wearing out my F5 button with multiple browser windows open for the better part of the day in order to get a pledge in.   ;)

I'm down for #3.

17
Wow.  Just wow.   Any inkling on a timeframe?

Put my order in for a few, well, after having to wait for their servers to come back online.  LOL  Don't think they were expecting that to happen.

I found them on eBay and I think I got a pretty good deal . The seller had several other auctions listed and they were very knowledgable about what they were selling, so I am guessing they may even be affiliated with this forum. Anyway, I was following several other auctions ending around the same time that I was outbid on; including an 1850 dougherty deck that skyrocketed in the last few hours, and this was the last one. I am interested in learning more about the deck, but I'm not going to research too much until my Hochman Encyclopedia and supplement arrives later this week (I finally sprung the money for them). Next up, a 52+ joker membership, but lets not be too hasty.

I thought it looked familiar, I was bidding on it too.  Guess you were the guy I cussed out for outbidding me.   ;)    So, do you want to trade, my dairy deck for the empress one?   :D

Well just 5 more days til we find out for sure.   ;D

22
Picked up a nifty bridge size advertising deck today for Townsend West dairy products.  AoS is marked 1942, bridge pts card has copyright 1935, so that sounds about right.

23
Color me intrigued, looking forward to what you all come up with.

My true feelings regarding Ho Chi Minh and anything celebrating him or his ways can not be voiced on a board such as this.  May he rot in hell.

Got my uncut sheets in today, thought I'd post some pics up for those that haven't seen them yet.
