  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

As many of you probably know by now, Walgreens Pharmacies in the US are starting to sell a new brand of playing cards called "Play Right".  Any location with them just has blue at the moment, since red's not out yet, and some sell them alongside their traditional Stud brand.  Both brands are made by USPC.

Well, if what Pokerstud52 wrote here is correct, the Play Rights are actually REPLACING the Studs, and Studs are now out of print, never to be seen at retail again!

If anyone has confirmation of this, let us know.  If anyone has word that this is NOT the case, let us know even sooner!

But either way, if you're a fan of Studs, stock up now 'cause you might not see them at your Walgreens ever again!  Pokerstud52 already has them at premium prices - the two-deck set (the only offer he's got for them) is $8.95.

I checked Dan and Dave for them - they pulled the listing for them and no longer appear to be selling them.

I hope this isn't true, except if it means the Play Right decks will immediately be in stock and available to the public. I own both the old and the new studs, and I would be glad to see the new Play Rights in stock.
