Hey guys,

I just thought I'd start a thread for playing card photos.

These don't have to be of your collection, just photos that you like of playing cards.

I'll start... these photos have compelled me to focus mostly on vintage decks in the new year...

So, what about you?  What pictures have you come across that you want to share?

I dont focus on buying many Vintage decks but nice pictures CBJ. I bought these a while back on ebay for about 10 English pound, I know great moguls aren't hard to find but I imagine these date back sometime, CBJ do you happen to know anything about the seal used?

Hey, I got a deck of Great Mogul I got in Nepal. But it's a deck of normal bees inside. Any idea why? TIA:D

It's some kind of Transformer deck, maybe from Hasbro! I like CBJ's pic of the day scheme, it's like something new every day.

It's some kind of pop-culture deck, probably off-license, possibly not even in print.  Looks awesome, though.  Could use a little more color differentiation between red and black suits.

Here's the link to the cards

http://www.hydro74.com/hydro2011/neu/playingcards.html

I spoke with the artist yesterday, and he is releasing a deck of cards.  As soon as I get more info, I will post it.

Look at some of his other art though...

I might pick up some of his "business card" coins...

I look forward to seeing what he comes out with

Even if they are one way backed, but they are really nice.
Also what is the size of those coins?
Half dollar? Dollar?
I really love those coins.

Cards - awesome, but I think copyright issues might interfere.

Coins - really freakin' cool.  A practically indestructible business card!  Massive, too.  Me want!

Waitaminute - I thought they were his "business card."  Don't people usually GIVE OUT a business card?

Only other person I saw selling their own business card was Kevin Mitnick, and that was because it was printed on thin sheet metal and stamped to allow you to pop out sections suitable for use as lock-picking tools!

Pics of the day...  I've posted these before, but I'm not sure on which forum.

One of the Dan and Dave decks that never got printed...

Those are pretty nice but i can see why they wouldnt be printed.
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

The first set of the pictures of the day that you posted looked a lot like that prototype Blue Crown deck. Maybe he's helping design it or something? I don't know, just an idea.

And the second set of pictures look kinda nice, although the crazy amount of colours makes it sort of painful on the eyes. A lot less colour would do it good. And the deck box design looks pretty similar to the Tally-Ho deck boxes.

I've seen that Dan and Dave deck before! It's so sick looking!! It reminds me of old arcade games from when I was growing up. Really wish that one made the cut. Such a fun, retro type deck
