Shz. It is a great effect. I like to change it up and do other numbers, and words instead of 8 to 3, but the 8 to 3 works so well.

It is a wonderful tool!

Hey, thanks for the feedback guys.

I will shoot you a message Don. ( Don Corleone ;) )

Alvinhy, thank you for the great advice. This isn't a back design though, this is just the Tuck Buck design. The back design is in the works though.

They are supposed to be bullet holes with smoke, haha. Well Black Hand was a type of racket set-up by the mafia. So my inspiration is gambling rackets and organized crime.

Thanks for the link! That will be very helpful.

Hey Lara

I am up for the challenge, and want people to be as harsh as needed. I want to hopefully one day have an awesome design. Here is a mock-up I did for a Tuck Box, for the new design I have been brainstorming.

Thanks so much,

Austin :)

If you need any tutorials or even a custom vector or two let me know. I would love to help you and it would help me out too (gotta keep updating my portfolio)  :)

Thanks a lot Ben!

That would be much appreciated. I have been working on a new design. I will message you with my direction.

Cheers!

Hey Alex
Thanks a lot!

Thanks Don (Not Dan ;) )
Happy New Year to you too!

Lara, thanks for the kind words and the warm welcome.
I do a lot of children parties and I found that the card tricks I was doing went over their heads, or they couldn't remember their card. So I got out of the card magic that I really enjoyed, and did more visual stuff. A few months ago I was hired to table hop at a restaurant and started busting out my card tricks again.

The one trick I love doing at the time being is one where I write down a prediction, have the spectator choose a card, then reveal the prediction to find out I was wrong. I hold a lighter to it, and it changes to their selected card. I am sure there is a name for this, but it has slipped my mind.

I really enjoy Brian Brushwood as well as Penn and Teller.

Thanks so much!

Austin :)

Ben, I get what you mean, but if I can help someone out, I will, instead of keeping the inspiration to myself. I do know what you are getting at though!

Thanks ,

Austin

That was an honest mistake. Sorry Don. I type without looking at what I write, sometimes.

Sorry about that!

I took your advice Dan and scrapped my original idea. I have a theme now, and am basing the deck off of that.

I had a question for anyone who has designed a deck. Do you ever use royalty free vector images or brushes in your design.

Thanks, and have a great weekend,

Austin

Thanks! I actually just decided to put this on the back burner for a little bit. I thought it was not something to rush, and in the mean time I am working on another deck. I am going to post pictures. But basically the whole premise is based around the art of a child. So really sketchy pips, and what not. I am getting my little sister to help me out with this one.

The demo video is a great addition! Thanks again :D

Hey Ben.

Dafont is one of my favourite sites for design. I have a folder of great fonts from there. I have a lot of experience with Photoshop, and some with Illustrator. I have tons with Premiere but it won't help me here, haha.

I really appreciate the help, none the less. Thanks for the kind words :)

Thanks Ben. Thanks for the links! Since posting this, I have reworked the design, and will be making it a two way back, eventually. This was just a rough idea, and framework.

Thanks for the feedback. Luckily this is just a very rough mock-up of the final product. I will keep what you said in mind.

Hey everyone!

I am brand new to this great forum. I have been researching the chances of getting a custom deck printed at a decent quality, and decided to start designing my deck while I research the best route to print. I want to charge as little as possible for my deck if this BUCKET LIST idea gets of the ground. I was hesitant about posting my design on the internet for anyone to take, but I have faith and will show you guys my Back Design as of right now. PLEASE, honest and constructive criticism is needed :)

Thanks,

Austin
