Nice improvements of the faces. Still not a fan of backs.

Is this topic for the "Design" branch?

The design of this deck has gotten nice improvements. But I still don't understand Jokers.

55
At least we know what was running through his mind when he made them...

:) That's true.

In the end of the day can be a very nice deck. I hope all court cards will be different.

Didn't a new version of these decks come out recently?  Now THOSE I'd love to read more about as well!

You are right. I saw the second variant. Maybe I'll write about it later. I actually have mixed feelings about that edition.

Why so?

Sometimes it's hard to say. You look at the deck and think, "Quite normal deck of playing cards, I can't say something bad about its design... but, at the same time, I don't feel that I really want this deck too much... maybe I have to return to it later."

Court cards could be better.

The next era of Uusi cards    :D

Are you sure?  When I last spoke with them, they were done with cards, or at least with their own card projects.

This is Tarot I believe.

I really have to give those two a call - maybe later today...

And don't forget to mention that a poker deck as a stretch goal can be something nice ;)

...It's just taking me a lot of effort juggling this with a full time job and a part time degree at the moment, there have been a few late nights!

And will be sleepless ones in case of further development of the site :) Nice articles.

IMHO:

- the dragon is interesting;
- the framework of the face is interesting;
- the background and "indices" of the face - ???;
- the central circle and the framework of the back design - nice;
- space between the central circle and the framework of the back design - ???

Technically, this isn't a relaunch.  The first campaign was to create the "dark" version of the deck.  After the campaign failed, they went ahead and created the deck anyway, which is now available on their website.  This campaign is to make a "light" version of the deck.

The first campaign was to create a set :)

"partial relaunch" ;)

...This is a deck that absolutely should be made and the set complete in my opinion...

I've always been happy with the quality of Pocono Modern's products and designs...

+1

Those patterns from backs with pips incorporated into them could be nice on faces of number cards in possible semi-transformation deck. Courts are the same for all suits :(
