The rules here are very simple, much as they are in the rest of the forum. Aside from the usual behavior guidelines, we have one additional requirement.
Magicians and cardists have to eat, too. Give their work the respect it deserves. Don't reveal someone else's work.
There are places all over the Internet where people seem to feel it's fine to openly discuss the full mechanics of a particular magic effect or cardistry routine - this is NOT one of them. It's not out of a desire for censorship, but out of an acknowledgement that someone worked hard to develop their work over the course of a career and many, many hours of practice and refinement.
Reviewing a work is fine. Discussing a work is fine. A few pointers that don't completely give away the work are fine if a member is asking for help. But please don't give it all up, lock, stock and barrel. Show these artists the same respect you'd want people to show you if it was something you created.
A housekeeping note: the company-related sticky topics have been unstickied. They were very much out of date and most people seem to discuss an individual person's work more than the output of an entire company. To make your new topics about a trick or effect easier to spot by company, simply include the company name so it will turn up in a search - and including the name of the magician or cardist who created it is a good idea as well! The old topics are still out there if you want to discuss on them, in the same "most recent post" order as all the other topics - we welcome reviving older topics if there's new and relevant information to discuss.
