Title: COLLECTOR'S TALK
Post by: Evan on October 03, 2011, 06:51:38 PM
If you are a collector, you are in the right section! I am a collector and magician. My collection currently has 130 decks. Some rare, some not. How about you guys?

I am a collector, but I put a pretty strict set of rules on myself when purchasing decks. My formost reason do have decks is to display them. If I do not have frames built for display then I most likely will not purchase more decks. I am primarily interested in limited run decks and vintage decks, I have no interest in trying to collect every variation of a bicycle deck ever made. I currently have about 70 decks in my collection, some of my favorite decks are my Red artifice, Tally Split Spades and my signed David Blaine White Lion that was given to me by Doug Mckenzie

I just got into collecting last October, and my collection is now at 89 decks. I think I'm doing pretty well for a kid who has only been collecting for a little less then a year and who only makes $14 a week.

My rarer decks are my brick of Red Artifice, 20 decks of v6, and 8 decks of Jaqk.

You're lucky so many collecting resources are available now. I remember when I started, I made so many mistakes. I opened duplicate decks for the sheer sake of opening them. I invested into getting a plastic deck of cards. I bought cards available in Target and Wal-Mart at Theory11...man, if I could undo all that, I would have at least an extra $500 to spend on some decks.

Keep in mind I only started last August. It's astounding how much the community has grown in a year.

Ya, i wish there was like a playing card angel whispering in your ear saying, "Don't be dumb those deck are cheaper elsewhere" i will never forget buy a brick of bikes for around 40 bucks at walgreens when i could of bought a brick of any better than bikes for about the same.

I will also never forget when i use to have the idea, "Red and blue decks aren't the same so open both."

But the best i think of all time, "Well i opened my package of E decks might as-well open em all."

Oh, I've made a few mistakes here and there (£30/$47 for the Zippo set.  Found it for £19/$30 the next day... on the same site) but I'm still suprised how easy it is to find almost anything.

I have about 50-70 decks, but I just started a few months ago. I have quite a few rare decks, but other than that, it's pretty much your average deck collection.

i have barely any cards, but i have to spend $240 AUD to get my uncut sheets framed, the framing costs more than the sheets $120 per sheet but all i have which is slightly collectable is bee stingers (red) deck one: industrial, black tiger red pips, shadow masters, tragic royalty. nothing too fancy, but soon I'm going to add a couple vortex decks to my collection, v6's a v4, a league back, and 4 727 banknotes (two red/2 blue), and 8 Tally's, and 2 random which i don't know what I'm getting (getting them from my buyer in Feb) but Tally's (2 red fan/ 2 blue fan(2 red circle/ 2 blue circle))

The uncut sheet usually come in a tube.
If you wan tit to be frame, you have to frame it yourself.

Its weird, I started out as a good collector. I was very smart abou which decks to buy and which not to buy. My collection is only about 130 decks which i have done in a year. All of my decks were worth it and werent stupid to buy.

Yes, it will be roll up, you might made a frame for it by yourself, cause shipping with the frame is ver expensive I guess. It's too bulky.

There will be an option to buy it framed I believe. It costs more though.

yeah I know but I think the bundle with the framed sheet would be more exspensive to cover the shipping costs.
