So, I'm sure many of you got the email about this one. Did anyone participate in the Tinychat Saturday evening (US East Coast time)? I'd love to hear more details about this one. The first deck, Style, was initially looked at skeptically, but the end result was a solid deck. The second, Mystery, had a wholly unique appearance with much attention to detail. And did I mention that both were on Aristocrat stock with Magic Finish, an awesome combination if ever there was one?

Woah, thanks a lot for those pictures, kpop! I actually voluntarily missed the tinychat because I wanted to keep the surprise alive in me until the very end. But it looks really nice so far! I can't wait to see more!

OMG, I can't believe I missed his post earlier. We now have a look at the back design. It reminds me of the LTD. deck, just not artistic.

I have to say, I've liked everything BeDeceived has done up 'till now and this deck looks promising as well... Makes me want to tell my wife to fetch my slippers and pipe...

According to the BeDeceived website, it's still on pre-order. It likely won't ship until next month, since if they don't have it now, they won't get it until after USPC's holiday break ends.

Starting with the next NDR, I'm going to put in separate dates for a deck's release and pre-release dates on the Company Projects list. Lag times such as the one on this deck makes it harder to know when they're released without tracking both dates.

I'm thinking that Collin put this deck on Kickstarter because he needed extra funding.

What I don't get is that why would he offer free shipping on Kickstarter when those who bought it from his site paid for it. I'm going to message him about that.

Just emailed him, and receiving a reply, he said that he dropped the pricing as an incentive for more people to back the project.

Yikes, he's in trouble if he thinks he can make money on KS.

On the other hand, I wish him the best of luck, since what he pulled off, and at his age, is absolutely nothing short of astounding.

Am I the only one who caught on to the fact that he's using this KS to pay his debts, then folding up shop and closing his business? Or is it the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about?

He's been saying for a little while now that he's moving on from cards to focus on his graphic design business. To be that age and bring 3 decks to market is quite an achievement and I'm sure that with his full attention on his graphic design he'll do well.

Oddly, after 20+ years of doing the kind of design he wants to focus on, I find it much more fun, more creative and generally more profitable to work on the cards.
