Another newbie!

Card guys and gals,

Thanks for having me as part of this forum! I come from a long line of card players. My grandmother was very instrumental in fostering my playing card interest. I never leave the house without a deck of cards. Dealing with some annoying health stuff, I now find that I have more time to learn both tricks and games. I've also really gotten into all the new decks being made out there. (I recently made a $34 profit on the sale of an antique store deck find and used it all to buy new ones. :)

So yeah, see you out there!

Hey, welcome to the Discourse!

My interest in playing cards has its origins in a childhood surrounded by card players, predominantly on my mother's side of the family.  Her dad was the biggest player of them all!  I still remember him when I play.

Welcome Spindles. I also grew up around card players as well. My parents played cards every weekend.  I can't tell you how many hands of Rummy I've played with my grandmother.
