« on: June 27, 2017, 06:24:09 PM »
Jackson Robinson has become The Master of the Playing Cards. His skills are complete.

Launching tomorrow at 12 pm central on Kickstarter, Intaglio. My biggest Kickstarter endeavor yet. A collection of playing cards hand engraved and printed on 19th Century printing presses.

I'm a sucker for elements coming out of the outer border...

This turns my crank...

In the deck, I was hoping to see something with the 52+joker logo.  Is it the Joker in chair?  If so, where is the 52+ ???

Rick Davidson - JUst know the suit indicator doesn't always have to be on the top left.  It can be Left or Right.  It is just a big indicator of what the suit is.  On your JoH, your axe seem a bit short.  You can get rid of the walking stick.  I know the JoH had an axe and a dagger when it first came out.  Just like the KoC and KoS had swords while the KoH and KoD had axes...  You seem to know your history...

Don - How is back one-way?  I see that it's upside down.  The fan proves it.  I would think you would want to see a right side up  1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6  in the clock of a fan...

I like the feather that sticks out from the border.

NineLives - Very bold to have no borders for your courts.  I see you have 2 black Jokers...

YOu want to see some white here on your side of box.  You don't want that gold border leaching over to the front.  I can tell by your BackOfCard you want a white border.

Usually, the text is within the ribbon.  In this case, it looks like a wood plank.

Helshawk - So it looks like your spade and club is gold and your diamond and heart is gold.  Look like you have a wonderful art deck going on...

Interesting deck.  Looks like a Switzerland deck.  King on a Horse, Queen on a throne. Ober with the suit indicator on the top.  Under with the suit indicator on the bottom. I like how the ten card is now a court card.  (9-2)  Notice the two extra cards on the bottom right.  Was that part of the BackOfCard? Maybe that was first triptych Jokers?

Very interesting deck.  Yes, this was a scandals deck.   Must protect the public by erasing part of this deck.  >:(   Is the Under of Spades squeezing her tit?  Maybe she was a seductive women.    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femme_fatale Spades are evil...

Spades are always evil...

Lukas - Borders on pips is always a bad idea.  Borders on courts is a tradition.  It seems you have a lot of white space and small pips.  Are you going minimal and sloppy?  If so, don't change a thing, but your cards may be a little hard to read at a distance....

Randy - You're up to 2 stars now.  And yes the black in the diagonal of the courts breaks the rules and you make it work.  I can't believed you showed that card.  Thank you.  To know, that the black will be on the BackOfCard is great. I do think the Spade and Black needs to be switched.  Dominate Black on the top Left.  Light black on the right.  YOur red is perfect.  Heart's red top left.

Randy - Is your diagonal bleed going to reflect in your BackOfCard.  You have to think what you will see when it bleeds over.  What we we see on the side of the deck.  Is it going to be a black line?

law_kid - I like your image, but I hated this letter from USPCC.  Will they ever go back to 1000 deck runs? Can your friend ask Mr. Slaughter since you're in the loop.

39 out of 101 left.  $20 a piece.

Jokers make good coasters...

Marcus, were the decks offered part of the serial-numbered set or were they unnumbered?  How many did he sell?  I ask only out of curiosity - in many ways, it represents a subset of a special limited edition.

These decks were part of the 500 numbered decks, so the only thing separating them from the others is Jackson's signature as far as I know. That, and the unicorn dust. (Less than 50 decks were sold through Kings Wild.)

So, 50 of these are to be signed by Jackson's stock with some unicorn dust.  And the question is why is he selling them lower than $45?    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLnK6BFT_2c

Take advantage. It's not unheard of for a designer to sell his decks lower than the sellers...   Maybe that is the stock he was promised in the contract.  He can do what he wants with it.
