Dallas, TX here.
I'm a collector whose interest started with card playing. My dad taught me how to play poker back in the 70s and I've played recreationally since.
I've got about 500 decks that follow no specific theme. I like rare decks more than valuable decks. It's more fun for me to find a $5 Little-Duke deck than tossing out $25 to get a couple beautiful crowd-funded decks. I'll pick up any deck I don't already have at estate sales if they're a dollar. That's led me to have lots of cards with no real collectable value that I'm still glad to have. Kickstarter has definitely processed a few transactions on my behalf though.
