Hello all,

I think this is worth a new thread.

As many of you know, Unitedcardists.net was down for a while for a server exchange.

Well, it's back up and running!!

I'm very happy by this.

Welcome back UC!

Since the "R.I.P. Unitedcardists" thread was left alone in the plethora..

I'll let this one be as well

I'm still not sure what you guys are talking about. How is it not working? I seem to be reading all the threads fine.

Some threads are missing.
The most previous one before the site went out.

The website was closed and innaccessible for the past couple days. It is now back up.

Clearly. Thank you for repeating that over again. I know it's been down in case you haven't noticed I posted in the "RIP UC" thread too. I'm asking why the others are saying there're still glitches.

Thank you! I probably didn't get to read those threads before it went offline. Maybe some of the latest data was lost during the "server exchange".

I didn't understand your question.

That website is way past its expiration date. Despite the countless amazing memories I have with that site and its members, it seems as though we're beating a dead horse now.

I'm not sure why acting like a half-functional site with no staff, tons of porn threads, and little activity is still this amazing beacon of light in the community. People say they can't see threads, others can't even log in or register, the posting has serious issues (quote button, for example, is invisible).

I hate to break it to you guys, but website peak, then they die. Some time in the future this forum too will be dead. It could be a month, or a year, or five years from now. But the Discourse will die, just like all other forums on the web.

Literally the only thing that keeps them alive is constant innovation, content, and looks.

I've spent countless hours on UC, and now I'm letting go. You guys would do well to do the same before it continues to let you down. And believe me, I don't view the place as competition in any way. At its best it was an amazing marketing tool for me. It sucks knowing that I have to release my next deck without the help of UC traffic (even though we share a majority of the same people, UC definitely gets some people that don't come here).

May I suggest, at this time, having a Reddit page for playing cards to supplement the forums?

There's already an /r/playingcards and it's a ghost town. I'm also unsure how bringing reddit into this will supplement the forums.

I'm going to have to go with Alex on this one... Although it was once an interesting place... It contains a fraction of the information found on the Discourse... There appears to be nothing available on UC that is not here...

Not these forums, I mean the forums as in the card community. I saw r/playingcards and was disappointed with how dead it was. Does anyone know the person/people that mod it?

I found out about UC about 6 or so months ago, and already back then I wasn't impressed by it in any way. I hope they leave threads open. Sometimes I google some magic-related questions and find interesting info, but, other than that, I think it is unpractical and badly modded, as others have said.

Ah I see. The guy that created r/playincards (kcg5) is still pretty active on reddit, but I don't know who he is.
