Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Nah it's still US currency... From the future after China calls in all the debt the US Treasury owes them and ends up owning the Treasury... =P

Just kidding - please don't start a flame war on politics or monetary policy - it really was just a joke! =P

I'm probably a member of the 2% club when it comes to money decks. I don't like them haha. They're just not my thing, I have some awaiting the occasion to gift them to the various peoples in my life who do like money decks. This looks like it may be interesting though. I'm going to keep an open mind when I see the campaign launch.

Looks a lot more colorful than the Fed52 series, no? Not sure if that's your thing or not... I personally think it looks interesting and am looking forward to seeing more!

Absolutely looks more colorful and vibrant. That's exactly what has me wanting to see more with an open mind. :)

It seems like JR is using the Chinese RMB notes for legal Tender.

I might even guess he'd use more than one nation's currency.

Everyone was speculating that it was based on foreign currency...  It's a shame that no one actually uploaded the images, since all the links are now BROKEN - bye bye, images...

I'm sure it will be nice and very popular - but we've seen this already, haven't we?  Looks more like Federal 52, Part 3.  I hope there's more to it than what we're seeing so far, something to set it apart.

From what I understand, the Canadian currency project is still in the works.

Like green MetalLuxe foiling on the backs?  (I'm just hoping, don't have any info on this project.)

When I spoke with USPC reps at the last convention, they stated that due to the application process, MetalLuxe had to be applied to a LARGE area on the card back - the first MetalLuxe release was a Rider Back where the entire design was done in metal foil.  This appears more like a card with metal foil details at most.  Maybe USPC improved the MetalLuxe process since then, maybe Jackson's going all-foil, but neither seems likely based on what we're seeing.

  • Charm gets you quite far. Guile gets you the rest.
Kickstarter completely revolutionized the way I waste money.

The people who handle playing cards are always in a world of delicate fingertip technology.

Also, he's using EPCC.  So we'll have perfect registration, metallic inks, foiling on the back of both decks, UV spot effects to create hidden images on the card faces and backs (simulating watermarks of real currency), and possible holographic foil on cards (simulating security strips on currency).  This is a mountain of awesome!

Is it just the two decks for sale? No limited, ultra-rare, gilded with Nazi gold editions?

I think an exceptional deck. I bought one of each , because I had more money and am aware ask for more when the project is based. It is also a deck that will go a lot of money and is an opportunity to get an extra good money with it.
