Hi folks,

Some of you may have noticed on our Facebook or Instagram accounts that we have received the tuck proofs for the second edition LUXX decks.

The idea was to create a 'shadow' edition, from that initial concept Randy has come with with two GREAT looking tucks, pictured below. You may have noticed a couple of posts some time ago showing off the back designs also - I had talked with Lawrence about foiling these backs with silver and gold, but for various reasons (availability, practicality for a larger run deck) decided against it. You might (literally might - it's not even a thought process at the moment) see a one-off foiled version in the future if we can source the right foils. This is not a tease, it is definitely not currently planned - but I would love to do that down the line if it's ever possible.

Second Edition LUXX: Shadow Edition
Pre-Orders Start April 30th (TBC) for a 2 week window, we then expect to received stock by May 30th (TBC) and all pre-orders will be despatched before the decks are released fully.

~Metallic Gold and Silvers on backs and Metallic Gold and Reds on faces. (backs have been tweaked a little since proofs and last images, so will share those when we have them)
~The same 'traditional with a twist' faces - tweaked pips and courts.
~500 of each deck will have a holographic seal, and will be sold during the pre-order stage only or part of bricks later on. (You will be able to order non-seal decks right away too if that's what you prefer)
~Free custom LUXX brick box for purchases of split bricks.
~Free custom LUXX brick box for purchases of multi bricks (3 orange v1, 3 blue v1, 3 gold v2, 3 silver v2)

~A new, lower price of £7.99 (2 or more £7.49)
~A pre-order price of £6.99 (2 or more £6.49)
~A print run of 3000 of each colour - these decks are intended to be a running line in our store. The sealed 500 of each are to satisfy those who would like something a little more limited!

Paul, are the limited sets going to have matched numbers, like you did for V1? To make sure the pre-order will be around 6-8 weeks?

Hello!

No the seal will not be numbers this time around, just holographic and very difference from v1. Pre orders are still not confirmed date wise but will probably be the end of Mach or the end of April.

Excellent!

The LUXX V1 was awesome, and so I'm personally very happy to see it develop into a running series.

I like the fact that there's a custom brick box -- it'll be great for the decks with the holographic seals.

I never used to think much of deck seals... until I received my Special Edition Draconians from LPCC. The holographic seals on them are pretty darn cool, and so I'm really looking forward to see how the LUXX seals turn out.

Definitely looking forward to this.

You'll also still be able to buy decks with or without holographic seals - even early days before they sell out. So if you don't like them, you're not stuck with them!

Can't wait for April 30th. Kind of feel like a kid waiting for the arrival of Christmas in anticipation of the V2's. The brick box looks very sharp.

We've now listed these on our site for people to add their emails to be informed when they're available, something that was very popular last time.

The first 500 of each deck will have a special holographic seal and will be available for sale individually only during the pre-order window - April 30th for 2 weeks.

Standard pricing for these decks will be £7.99 or £7.49 each for 2. Pre-order pricing will be £6.99 and £6.49, with our lowest LUXX pricing yet for a brick - 12 v2 decks for £71.99.

We hope to have better photos soon when we get a sample deck, these photos are from the proofs.

Unfortunately it would have been too late anyway, as they were in production. Will bare it in mind for next time.

So the sample for the gold edition arrived today and whilst my photos aren't the best, we're quite happy with the way the metallics turned out. I've attached a couple you can see more on the site at http://jpplayingcards.co.uk/second-edition-luxx-playing-cards

Quick update regarding the holographic seals, we've had a few questions about exactly how many are available - so here it is.

500 of each deck will have a special holographic seal to say thank you for your support, but in any one order a maximum of 4 decks will have the seals. So order 4 decks and you'll get 4 decks with seals, order 24 and you will still get only 4 decks with holographic seals. If you purchase a split brick of 12 v2 decks, ONLY 4 of those will be with holographic seals.

The ONLY way to buy the decks with holographic seals after the pre-order window closes will be to buy the v2 split brick (only if se have stock remaining).

Hopefully that makes sense?

Just a quick update folks, we've been negotiating for the past week or so with Royal Mail to lower international postage costs, and as such we're excited to announce as of today we offer free standard delivery worldwide for orders over £50 (over £40 now for Europe, not just EU). There are a handfull of countries excluded due to postal service levels we've experienced, and standard delivery is not available for orders over £150 - but we've reduced the tracked cost too.

So a brick of LUXX for example, is now free for standard delivery or £11.99 (down from £17.99) tracked and insured.

I didn't see United States listed either.
