Sorry if this is in the wrong section - but because I'm not offering to sell, trade or am looking for one I figured I shouldn't put it in the STISO board.

I was just wondering what a Gold Arcane would be worth? I see loads on ebay - usually around the 80-100 dollar mark; they can't be that high surely? The also always use the "only 1000 in circulation line" which hasn't been true since 2011.

So what would a Gold Arcane be fairly worth?

Sorry if this is in the wrong board again.

An item is worth what ever it's purchaser is willing to pay for it...

No in all seriousness, 70-100$ is the going rate.  Just depends how many people are trying to sell one at the same time etc.

It's actually much lower.  When searching eBay, move to the left column and select under "Show Only" the "Sold Listings" option.  This isn't what people are asking for the deck, but what people have actually paid in recent weeks.  I've seen a few that went for under $35.

I'd ballpark the average sale price at about $50-55.

The lowest I've seen a Gold Arcane go for individually is $48.

But some people sell them alongside other rare decks (Most frequently V1 Black Ghosts, Red Artifices, and LTDs) or in bricks. When the other decks are factored in, you can get one for much "cheaper".

For example: if someone sells a brick of Gold Arcanes for $300, each deck comes to $25. But then, you have to ask yourself if you want 12 Gold Arcanes.

Oh thanks guys! Ebay.co.uk reckons £35-£50, not bad! White LTDs are apparently worth £50 with P&P though...

White LTDs are fairly new.

I'm sure the price will go down in a few months or so.

My friend just bought a few white LTD's - some off a guy (perhaps ebay) and I think she got a couple from Ellusionist in the Holiday sale... She bought 5 artifice uncuts, TWICE! She also bought a load of gear as well. Not sure what other gifts she had thrown in on her order (hoping for a red arcane for xmas ;) ) I reckon £40 for an White LTD is good. You know it's rare, you know you won't be able to buy them for a while, you know that right now, there's around 500 in circulation and it (hopefully) completes the LTD series. 2 rare in complimentary colours, 2 common in complimentary colours.

Yes, but I'm sure I read on the forum somewhere that ellusionist do a print run of 5000 for their "rare" decks. Or was I imagining that?

If you're after a white ltd, I'm up for a trade. PM me if you like

Yeah I found a post by Brad from E:

I originally posted this under the following topic:  http://aethercards.com/discourse/playing-card-plethora/white-ltd-off-center/?action=post;msg=85190

At least we now have confirmation that they're completely out of the Black Ghost 1st Edition decks.

Saw this posted on E's forum about quantities, not to go too far off topic but it does pertain to quantities of limited decks:

Yes, there were 5000 of the Tiger first edition originally. We only have 550 left in existence and those are the ones I pulled for my personal supply, they're downstairs now.

Ghost 1st edition, we only have 133 copies left, period. That one is darn rare.

Gold Arcane had 5000 made. We have only 1760 left.

We will almost always do a run of 5000 on the limited decks.

Hope that helps.
[End post]

And this was a count about a year and a half ago, they just opened it up last week with regards to availability for purchase so they may be close to or below 1k in stock.  I would say prices will go down in the short term but in the medium to long term prices will gradually go up.

Yeah there are 5000 White LTD's... I just reckon 4500 are still in Ellusionist's warehouse. They released 288 on cyber monday for sale, they were offered with a dvd and were offered if you bought a brick. I don't see more than a 150 going in those deals and then the only other way (if I am remembering rightly) is to spend over $300 and chose the white LTD. I am purely spitballing here but 500-600 in circulation seems decent and the side affect of the distribution of them means that people are unlikely to have a brick for resale.

Thanks for the offer Nurul, but I think Ill ask my friend first.

How much will be a Gold Arcane uncut sheet? It's still a "rare" deck/uncut sheet?!

I'd call it EXACTLY $100, plus shipping and handling.  That's what they still sell for in the Black Club.
