Playing Card Plethora / Blackjack Casino Cards by Laura Wilson
« on: December 08, 2013, 01:54:28 AM »
Did a quick search and did not find anything on this deck. I have only just seen it and do not know when they were printed. I think they're kind of cool being one that enjoys video games very much. I really like the full custom deck and tuck box. Everything is done nicely in my opinion. They're being sold on fangamer.net for 15USD each. High price tag and it does not include shipping but I think it's well done. I'm not sure if it is being sold anywhere else.

Straight from the site's description for the deck:
"What have you to lose?
Just your life, and that was free!
Ante up, my friend

This FF6-themed card deck features a face card of every playable main character from this classic Super Nintendo RPG!

56 Poker sized cards
Printed on Bicycle grade paper with embossed finish
Custom tuck box
Gold foil security seal and cellophane wrapper with tear band
Meticulously designed by Lieutenant Art Commander Laura Wilson and produced by the magitechnicians at US Playing Card Company (USPCC), the same company responsible for the famous Bicycle card decks."

Under the "Fellow nerds also bought:" section was a deck called "Cards of Legend" as well that seem to based off of The Legend of Zelda games. I personally do not like this deck as much mainly due to the pips. I like the courts but the pips are too different for my taste. Here's the link to that deck as well:

Playing Card Plethora / HOPC - NOC v2
« on: April 30, 2013, 08:47:01 PM »
HOPC has reprinted the NOCs in the known and loved colors but with thinner borders!. Apparently there is a new marking system within the simple backs that allow you to tell the suit, but not the value, of the face. Ordering within the first 12 hours allows you to be automatically entered in three of their contests. The contests are: winning a Jerry's Nugget deck, an unreleased HOPC deck, or a Bee RJRTC Watermelon deck.

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / The Creative Solutions Deck (KS)
« on: April 19, 2013, 12:45:32 PM »
Did a search for this and didn't find it. Project is about two weeks in but I don't remember reading anything about it so hopefully I'm not one of those that create a thread for a deck already mentioned on a pre-existing thread.

But from Phillip Paul Smith, comes The Creative Solutions Deck. Described as "a deck of simple creative ideas designed to smash mental blocks (PLUS a whole load of secrets making it perfect for reading minds!)." Creator is a designer and magician. The deck is supposed to printed on "Sure Slip" stock by UK printing company "Ivory Graphics. All early birds are already gone but can still be backed for £15 (instead of £10 for the early bird). The project has reached £878 of it's £1500 goal.other goals include two decks, PDF and deck, a brick, and not much more.

Playing Card Plethora / Ellusionist Uncuts
« on: March 20, 2013, 04:54:53 PM »
Ellusionist is selling a bunch if uncuts on their more rare decks and with each uncut comes the corresponding deck of cards.

The list they had was:
Red LTD ($125)
Gold Arcane ($100)
Black Artifice ($175); tuck uncut ($200)
Sultan Treasury ($100)
Red Artifice ($90)
Black Ghost 1st ($175)

They are also selling the Rounders uncut ($75); tuck uncut ($100) and Blue LTD uncuts ($75) as well.

Seems to be a more affordable option for those that want a nifty new uncut to hang on their wall and own one of these decks! They state that this opportunity will last only until this Saturday 1PM EST. Seems like, though, that the Gold Arcane, Black Artifice, Black Ghost 1st uncuts seem to only be avaliable to Black Club members.
