I saw it on twitter, but I didn't know the deck name. I was thinking about YSL or Jack Sparrow :)

I can't imagine them doing a 1 way back, if this is the back, or if it is going to be a deck of cards. I like the design. Looks classy. The t11 symbol is pretty cool. I didn't catch it the first time I looked at it.

It's probably a deck.

It could be a box, a gimmick, some kind of "lifestyle" product - but yeah, it's probably a deck.

This image could be the print inside the box...

Hmm....from the picture, it could possibly be a Bee-like diamond back design.

I hope it has borders!

I noticed the one way design also. I also had doubts this was the back design. Theory11 knows better then that. It most likely is the inside tuck design or just a desktop/mobile wallpaper.

Could be the interior printing of a tuck. That's a good guess.

That is an interesting design on the joker. I think this probably will be a one way deck, given the other image we've seen and now this. The map twice but I really like how the map is marked with pips.

I'm holding judgment so far - haven't seen anywhere near enough of the deck.

I say 50/50 odds that the deck will be marked!

T11 make some of my favorite cards to use.

I've been waiting a new release.

But for some reason I find it really disappointing seeing it called contraband so soon after E released prohibition.

I know its probably a coincidence but I cant get the whole volcano/dantes peak scenario out of my head. (and I desperately want to!)

If that's the case Don. I think I'll pick up two instead of six haha. Maybe it's just me anticipating a strong follow up to the wonderful Tycoon decks. The Blue in particular won me over in a big way, much more so than I ever thought would happen. Rarebit coppers didn't do a thing for me, fell flat to my taste. I'm not bagging on brown back decks, I enjoy them as well. Maybe it was just the been there, done that feeling of the copper rarebits. I'm expecting Theory 11 to come through with something fantastic here though. Feel the good vibes on these haha.

I'll try to help with the volcano/dante's peak thing haha. This seems to be a smugglers theme. I don't really associate the two myself even though prohibition era US was all about smuggling booze around haha. It may be because the prohibition decks are all about the liquor t this deck doesn't seem to be about alcohol at all. I thoughts are they went with contraband because it's such a vague term it can encompass so many things. The jokers show a global take and make me think there's going to be quite a bit of character in this deck as opposed to the theme we got with the prohibition set from E, which I love.

Call me crazy but I'm getting a much more British vibe from that Ace of Clubs than American.

It's also clear that these weren't printed recently.  The date at the top of the card is MMXIV, or 2014.  Factoring in USPC's winter break, these have a minimum age since printing of about four weeks.  One might even venture to guess that they wanted it out for the holidays but the print run got delayed.

What do you think - will this be a rare, limited run, or something they continually stock?  I'm thinking it might be rare.

I noticed that as well, 2014 deck there. It makes me think these have been done for a bit now but they wanted to move a bunch of "rarebit" product so these didn't see a holidays release date. They appear from the very limited images I've seen a much stronger deck than the other. I'm sure it was by design not to launch these at that time.

I don't know if this will be a rare deck as in limited availability, or not. That's just not something I good at speculating. I feel like it could go either way, probably not a limited availability release. I'll be sure to pick a couple up at launch just in case though haha. I feel like the sales will be nice and strong on Contraband. There's a lot of character in what we've been teased with.

Let's hope this teaser campaign doesn't drag out too long - though I do applaud them for presenting clear, plainly visible photos rather than out-of-focus blurs and dark shadows.

I'm more than intrigued now. The differences between the Ace of Clubs font and the Ace of Hearts font is pretty strange. I like that the AoH font is still easily read even though it appears to be composed of lattice work. It does make me think of a certain tower in France too. With the way the card is sitting on the AoH photo it's easier to see some of the happenings there and it appears loaded with symbology and metaphors. It looks like there's an apple there on the left, in the center it looks like a serpents head noming on a heart that's dripping blood into a cup at the bottom. A couple muppets at what looks like maybe a feasting or sorting table. The heart itself looks like it's lined in flowers. Maybe it's a shrubbery? Has Theory 11 found a way to give the masses what they want? Bring me a shrubbery! Thus they deliver to unto us all, a Shrubbery!

I like it, I like it a lot. Big fan of shrubbery.

new Theory 11 deck coming.

Thanks.  Check next time if a topic already exists.

The photo of the tuck is interesting.  That's either some ferociously detailed embossing work or a really powerful effect to make it appear embossed.  The former's probably true, but that is some super-fine work, perhaps more than I've seen from a USPC box.

Maybe the box is third-party?  Wouldn't be the first time.

When I saw the first photo in Frost's post, I thought it was a wooden box, because T11 seem to be putting out a lot of wooden box sets these days...
With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

That's most likely a flipped image of the foiling plate, not a tuck.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

A ha.  Well, it still looks cool.  But wait - if it is the foiling plate, someone made a mirror image of the original photo.  All the printing would appear in mirror image in an unaltered photo.

EDIT: ...but you noticed this already...  D'oh!
