Yeah they only ship to US so I have to pass, also a bit too much writing on the back.

I had to go for these, since Jim Thorpe is not far away, and that's my century he's talking about. Besides, I like the design.

I could always get a couple for you for a future trade if you like.

Actually, I'd be happy to do this for any discourse member in good standing :-)

I actually like this deck. The design's crisp, the art's interesting, and the theme is cool. Overall, a pretty solid deck.

However, with a goal of $5,000 for a USPCC deck, it's kind of a pie in the sky project. While the art is definitely good, it isn't the type of deck you would expect to shatter it's initial goal and continue well into the $20,000 range.

I'm passing for now. I might pledge if they get $10,000+.

It doesn't appear the 5k goal will be an issue. Looks like it's going to be the company promo deck.

I kinda like the design on this one.  The spot cards are a little confusing, though - some have all the "shadows" on the same side, others have them on both sides from pip to pip.  I would have just stuck to one style and called it good.  But that's a small gripe.

I like it, as a promotional deck it's a far better cry than slapping your company name on a standard deck and calling it a day.

I really like the design and colors of these cards, I just don't care for the animal courts. Not enough to not back it though.

They just added tiers for international shipping...

Sweet. Grabbed 2 decks, and their international shipping is rather "cheap" as well.
Additional $4 Int shipping for 2 decks? Prob the best int shipping I've seen on KS. Just not sure if they did their calculations.

I say if they started out with the international shipping when they launched, they might have gotten a much larger boost in their funding.

Hey Guys - I'm the creator of this campaign and really appreciate all the feedback.   We've actually been improving the deck since our launch and plan on adding additional court cards to have 12 different designs.  We just released some new back options and will have the supporters vote on the final design (check our project). We're stripping all the text off the cards so it doesn't come off as a 'promotional' deck.  We want it to be used!  As far as the goal target and the shipping, we're learning as we go so hopefully you will forgive our 'rookie' mistakes and consider supporting the deck.  With all of your feedback and our passion for design, I'm sure it will be amazing!  Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. - Kraig

Welcome to the Forum Kraig. When you get a chance, head over to the introduce yourself section. There is a lot of great people here to bounce ideas off.

I'm fine with the wording on the deck, after all it is a promo deck. If you leave the banner in the center, you need to put something there to fill the space.

I think the biggest concern from most here, is the $5,000 goal. I'm sure your quote from USPCC was around $6-7,000. By the time you add shipping and packaging. Most card projects cost $12-15K. That's not including all the add-ons-like shirts & prints, etc. You're at $5,790 now. If that doesn't increase much, are you prepared to pull $10K from your pocket to get this project finished?

Welcome aboard, Kraig.

I'm assuming you've been in touch with USPC about the project already, correct?  As Rob mentioned, it usually costs a little over double what your goal is to print and ship on a deck project of 2,500 decks, which is the typical size these days.  When making a project like this, you have to count every bean and still allow for a margin of error.

Hi Guys - First off, Rob, thanks for the insight.  We actually had $5K saved for the project so we just used Kickstarter to get over the hump.  We are not a startup company, merely a company trying to expand our range in areas of Design.   Also we've just posted some new court card design development, so check our page as we'd love to hear all your thoughts.  Thanks again for all the support and I will definitely head over to the Introduce page!

Your courts look great, and I like the consistency - queens are all foxes, but not identical looking, etc. - I think it was well-executed.

I have gotten so many complements on my Pocono deck. The colors are bold, yet the designs are really balanced. They make good subjects for Instagram photos too :) Yep, I love this deck.

This deck demonstrated to me one of the aspects that makes crowdfunding worthwhile. The back for this deck looked so different then the final product because the designers listened to the backers and took suggestions to heart. It is great to be able to have a hand in the final product you are buying. These cards turned out great and their fulfillment went great for a first time designer.

I liked the original back better. I was fine with their name on the cards- after all it is a promotional deck. If I had not already backed it before the change- I wouldn't have.
